Just read on say hey that reissue is struggling and may sneak in at no10 on albums in first midweeks.

The album pre orders are clearly lower than those reported.

9 in the midweeks.

Let’s hope there’s missing data.

So as rumoured it’s at the low end of the Top 10, it will be very frontloaded without the addition of streaming to hold it up so I think we’re looking at a SBIT re-issue style entry at the moment?
^^ More than happy with a lower chart position but higher sales, if they were that concerned with it going Top 3/5 they could have released it weeks ago plus made all the formats available at the same time.
Ya last week for example it would be safely top 10 and only 2 or 3 weeks ago her current sales would be enough for top 5.
I don’t think no9 is too bad but it’s likely to drop quickly unless there is promotion. Whether it will eventually outsell golden will depend on further promotion.
The Wanted are no7 in albums and have sold 10k, so obviously Kylie has sold less.

Maybe those reported figures includes purchases from outside of the UK?

To be midweek #9, she's sold almost 8.6k so far. Before this week, the highest 2021 weekly sale for a #9 is under 7.3k. Last Monday, the midweek #3 had sold under 8.3k, that is 300 sales less than Kylie at midweek #9 today!

So that should put into perspective that her sales really aren't that bad for the current climate, and we must remember this is a re-release - it doesn't particularly matter what position it lands at. The album has already been #1. The pressure isn't high for this. BMG surely won't be disappointed with her selling thousands of expensive vinyl and the 5 disc format.

BMG unfortunately chose a release week that has ended up being the busiest week of the year so far. They're also shooting themselves in the foot somewhat by having some formats not shipping this week. The disorganisation of that is very eyebrow raising...

8.3k is a solid figure - let’s remember that the CD Deluxe is selling for £25+ and the vinyl around £30 so I’m sure already with those numbers it’s a successful project

I think a lot of the albums are front loaded not just Kylie.

Lets see if BMG have something up there sleeve to make sure she can stay top 10?

little Itunes promo price drop? Cassette? A few signed copies?

To be honest if the original edition didn't make it to No.1, why would we have any expectation that the reissue will do any better?

Didn't make it to #1?

What are you talking about, exactly?

I was talking about a hypothetical situation, hence the word "if".

Im happy with those sales, 10k will be reached now at the least.

Can anyone remember what the SBIT 3CD reissue sold when it re entered?

It’s interesting how Vinyl this time round is more expensive for all artists especially Kylie with the double and triple editions. She needs to push the 2CD on socials, it’s the one that would sell to the casual fans.

Wonder how many extended vinyl bundles haven’t been despatched that include the single and CD album?

Are we sure the extended vinyl sales are included in this 9 midweek?

Quite a low seller tbh - a mere 6,640 copies!

From MW -

No.1 on debut 21 weeks ago, Step Back In Time The Definitive Kylie Minogue re-enters at No.16 (6,640 Sales) after a 10 week absence, thanks to the release of an expanded edition

Madness how low sales are…all those tracks on 3CD £9.99 ….probably has added 15k total.

Edit….actually just looked back and the 3CD did drive sales up for a few weeks.
