Paloma is really struggling. She's currently on track for #5 but it's not out of the question that she'll end up as low as #7. I knew she'd drop from the 30k-39k bracket that her previous three albums debuted within but I thought she'd pass 20k with ease.

Is Sophie Ellis-Bextor likely to keep a top 10 position?

As things stand, yes! She's got a 3.2k lead over Johnny Cash, 3.5k lead over #10 and a 3.8k lead over #11. They will all close the gap but probably not to the extent of pushing her out of the Top 10. She's also currently on track to finish on 9.9k - hope she can push over the 10k mark!

Yes. I think seeing they sold out the o2 Arena in minutes last year shown that the fans are still there even after the huge break. Hopefully this album hangs around the charts a while.

As much as I'd like it to, I can't really see that happening. Sadly I think 2 or 3 weeks Top 100 at most. Depends if they've got any other promo lined up between now and Christmas or if it's all concentrated on this week.

Okay, I retract my statement :o

Just check the radio AirPlay chart to see the effect but that doesn’t necessarily convert into streams of course

McFly actually are coming to outsell their last album's debut then. Where has this sudden interest in their comeback come from, there was very little sign of it at all from the single releases

Both singles have had heavy rotation on radio 2 so may have picked up some fans there as well as the old fans

cannot see the BBC2 song even top 3 at the rate it's going, not even 2K a day, L Mix should pass them
It’ll do 26k and the number one and two will be on 38-42k
Does Kylie have a chance of claiming #3? It's all looking so close.
Nice to see so many albums selling 10k+ copies.... albums seeing a slight growth towards xmas :)

1,2 and 4 are all selling more than her on a daily basis so maybe not.

I’m not too surprised to be honest. I know it wasn’t exactly huge, but Crybaby was a radio hit and even went top 40. She doesn’t have that this era and I think that’s what’s why.

Great year on year growth then - the Top 5 is already over 10k.

Mcfly going to do 20k plus. BMG again getting them good promo slots etc

BMG going to have Steps everywhere on the 27th you can tell

Steps have now been confirmed for the Royal Variety show which is on the week of album release, other performers are Gary Barlow, Celeste and Mel C.

The actual event is that week, but it's not being broadcast on ITV until later in December

They sold out in 2 minutes - he will ‘conveniently’ find another 500 today

On the other hand I love that he cares so much about the charts and breaking the record.

Can Lewis pls stop

Me for the past 2 years.

I appreciate Lewis wants to break the record but it feels like it’s every week there’s some new limited edition copy to the album now. And because he streams well anyways he’s gonna be in the high regions for eternity anyways.
