I suspect most of these from SkyBet aren't contenders, offering odds to anybody really.

Nothing will ever beat those who 'cleaned up' with the 25/1 Clean Bandit odds in 2016.

I've just put £10 on Clean Bandit at 25/1.

I've placed a few bets on various silly things over the last few years but never once won. Hopefully this will be my first win!

^ eternally triggered that I had a bet on CB at ~20/1 66/1 and ended up cashing it out at some point, then later put another bet on at ~9/1 20/1 - still got a decent payout but it could have been much better if I'd just stuck to my guns

edit: I found my old post and edited in the actual odds I bet on which were even longer than I remembered xx It was a £5 bet both times so I lost out on ~£230, oof. (A bit less than that as I did cash out the original bet but still)

No Santa Claus on this list yet?

How much did Ellie sell last year when she reached number one?

No not yet, can't find many odds available with other bookies.

Can you not put a bet on anyone and they have to give you odds for it?

I know at the shops you can, as for online not sure as I don't bet online.

Pretty much, yes. If you want to put money on Donald Trump having the Christmas number one, they will happily take your money and start laughing as soon as you walk out of the door.

Rainbow George was given odds of 3000/1 that aliens would appear at either the opening or closing ceremony of the Beijing Olympics. I think William Hill were a bit unfair taking that bet, and perhaps Rainbow George was naive in thinking that had aliens invaded earth they probably wouldn't have stopped their invasion to ensure that William Hill paid out first.
