UGH. No seriously. I really did enjoy this after hearing it on TikTok. Then finding out it had charted officially and then getting a re-release I was so excited to chart it but it quickly fell out of favour with me :kink:

JSG Chart Run | 15-19 | 2 wks • Official Chart Peak 01

Such a bop and the unnoficial track for Scotland Football Team. Count me in.

58 • The Weeknd - Save Your Tears | 49 points STILL CHARTING
JSG Chart Run | 11-28 | 2 wks • Official Chart Peak DNC

This will no doubt end up down the bottom of my EOY 2021 if it even charts there. This is fantastic on first listen but a bit bland by The Weeknds standards.

59 • Kylie Minogue - Where Does The DJ Go | 49 points
JSG Chart Run | 26-24-30 | 3 wks • Official Chart Peak DNC

 Kylie's Album 'DISCO' is definitely in the top 3 albums for me this year. It's my favourite album of hers ever as well I think  I haven't tired of listening to this yet unlike Dance Floor Darling.

Oh look, it's Aly & AJ again! This is their last entry on my EOY but they do have another song they've just released to YouTube. Hopefully, that's the start of fresh music for them and if so, expect an ALY & AJ INVASION next year :cheer:

What a song from an amazing album. Taylor Swift has just went from Strength to Strength hasn't she! (Especially since she turned into a pop queen

 This song is lovely and I've actually been listening to this one for a couple of years. I'd love for them to actually make some more decent music.

I got so very bored of this straight away but I've never been a massive fan of Shawn anyway. This is probably a highlight of his career for me though.

Of course Paloma would be here. AGAIN. And she's still more tracks to come. Exciting! This is one of my least favourite from the album but hey ho

I wanted to like Jerusalema as it's such a unique song to be a hit single but I got bored of it rather quickly, she's got a great voice but the beat doesn't do enough for me.

I might give Save Your Tears another chance, didn't think much of it during my one listen of the album but it sounded alright on Radio 2 the other day.

oooo. Oooo. Ooooo. What a bop. Jade would be so proud to see this :kink: Honestly I think this is the first Agnes song I'd heard since Release me? Maybe?

47 • Jerome - Take My Hand | 67 points
JSG Chart Run | 11-05-09-14-26-34 | 6 wks • Official Chart Peak DNC

This is another of those songs I heard on TikTok, loved and decided to chart. I also sent this to BJSC although I must admit, this was not my finest moment.

 Initially, I thought this would have been a good next single from Infinite Things but I have changed my mind somewhat. It's a nice track, but there is better on the album, especially the title Track 'Infinite Things.

49 • Kylie Minogue - Hey Lonely | 66 points STILL CHARTING
JSG Chart Run | 08-26-29 | 3 wks • Official Chart Peak DNC

Another bop from a boptastic album. I think my faves are definitely upbeat, although they do all sound similar.

50 • The Weeknd - Blinding Lights | 64 points STILL CHARTING
JSG Chart Run | 06-16 | 2 wks • Official Chart Peak 01

WELL, I think this only got one more week on my chart oops. Had I charted this closer to release I have no doubt it would be much higher here.
Take My Hand wasn't a bad song but I can see why it didn't do too well in BJSC, I did give it a few points myself. Agree with Dan on Jerusalema, I really wanted it to do well officially just because of how different it was but the song itself didn't grab me as much as I wanted it to.

I really enjoyed Jerusalema for what it is tbh.

JSG Chart Run | 10-13-25-38 | 4 wks • Official Chart Peak DNC

I went on a wee spree with Ariana and the Rose after realising they'd had some more music released a couple years ago. This was my BJSC entry from two? Years ago? Probably their best song to date as well ooft.

42 • Little Mix - Sweet Melody | 78 points STILL CHARTING
JSG Chart Run | 02-02 | 2 wks • Official Chart Peak • Official Chart Peak 03

Honestly I didn't think much of this at first. It was tolerable at best tbh. But when I added this to my rotative playlist that all changed. I was hooked after one listen through my headphones. Maybe their best ever single for me?

43 • Little Mix - Break Up Song | 72 points STILL CHARTING
JSG Chart Run | 05-07 | 2 wks • Official Chart Peak 09

 This is one of the most perfect pop songs to be released all year IMO. Absolutely criminal that it only just scarped a top 10 position officially.

44 • Paloma Faith - Infinite Things | 72 points STILL CHARTING
JSG Chart Run | 04-08 | 2 wks • Official Chart Peak DNC

This is my favourite song from Palomas album that isn't a single. It's quite downbeat for Paloma so it made a nice change.

45 • Kylie Minogue - Dance Floor Darling | 69 points STILL CHARTING
JSG Chart Run | 07-21-32 | 3 wks • Official Chart Peak DNC

This was initially my favourite from DISCO but that didn't last at all  it's a nice song. Upbeat and catchy!

36 • Icona Pop & Sofi Tukker - Spa | 84 points
JSG Chart Run | 04-15-22-39 | 4 wks • Official Chart Peak DNC

Such a shame to see this do nothing officially. It's a bop and probably the best thing Icona Pop have released since All Night (which is still my favourite song by them!)

37 • Millie Turner - Eye Of The Storm | 84 points
JSG Chart Run | 04-12-28-36 | 4 wks • Official Chart Peak DNC

This was nowhere near as good as I thought it was, after my first listen  Underwater gotmme listening to her other stuff and then this released as a new single just last week or the week before.

38 • Miley Cyrus - Midnight Sky | 84 points
JSG Chart Run | 04-09-20-29-39 | 5 wks • Official Chart Peak 05 (Fun Fact. This hit #01 in Scotland

I absolutely detested this when I first heard it. Oh how things change. The rockier tracks suit her voice very much.

39 • Dua Lipa & DaBaby - Levitating | 83 points STILL CHARTING
JSG Chart Run | 05-20-20 | 3 wks • Official Chart Peak 05

I actually really enjoy this but sadly by chart is just far too competitive right now to discern just how well this will do my the end of its charting run.

40 • Ariana Grande - Positions | 80 points STILL CHARTING
JSG Chart Run | 17-34-12-27 | 4 wks • Official Chart Peak 01

I was a bit meh on this to begin with but it managed to grow on me and chart well enough to gather an EOY position of #40 :cheer:
Spa is a decent effort from Icona Pop but as I've said before it fell very quickly for me. I've actually grown to like Levitating a lot more than I did when I first heard it, DaBaby's verse is very funky.

Betty is one of my favourites on Folklore, great to see it appear here. Save Your Tears is also my favourite track The Weeknd has made for a couple of years.

The two Levitating, Positions & the 2 Little Mix tracks will all be appearing very highly in my countdown. All brilliant pop songs

Spa is great, certainly a return to form for Icona Pop, although it only managed to make the lower end of my top 40.

Midnight Sky has to be one of my fave pop songs of the year, it was great to see Miley finally making a great song outside of her Mark Ronson collab.

Levitating and the Little Mix songs are also good. Positions is alright but Ari can do better, although I do prefer it to her Thank U Next singles.

oooo. Oooo. Ooooo. What a bop. Jade would be so proud to see this kink.gif Honestly I think this is the first Agnes song I'd heard since Release me? Maybe?

Yes yes yessss I am :cheeseblock: I'd highly recommend 'I Trance' and 'Limelight' from last year also - not quite as all out pure pop, but both so good too!

That latest section is so strong - I love 'Eye Of The Storm', 'Midnight Sky', 'Levitating' and 'positions'

JSG Chart Run | 01-09-27-34 | 4 wks • Official Chart Peak DNC

WOOOOO! :cheer: an actual Cascada single and it follows the trend of Cascada releasing one single per year for the last 4 years. I've been longing for Eurodance to return and I gues it kinda feels like it is a wee bit?

32 • Foxes - Friends In The Corner | 90 points
JSG Chart Run | 13-10-14-26-32 | 5 wks • Official Chart Peak DNC

This is a gorgeous song and their new single 'Hollywood is also amazing. It's a shame then that Foxes haven't had a hit in the last few years (let alone a song that's actually charted). Foxes had major promise when they first started releasing music, so what's happened? So disappointing to see the general public abandon them.

33 • Marshmello & Demi Lovato - Ok Not To Be Ok | 86 points
JSG Chart Run | 10-14-29-27-40-40 | 6 wks • Official Chart Peak 42

 This is also superb so if someone could enlighten me as to why this flopped, replies are welcome. I love the mix of slowness and danciness in this record.

34 • Dua Lipa - Hallucinate | 85 points
JSG Chart Run | 01-09-18-25-33-35 | 6 wks • Official Chart Peak 31

 One of two #1's for Dua Lipa on my chart this year. It's such a bop. Very catchy and she's done the 80's revival very well. I don't understand them, why this peaked so low, especially after Physical released and smashed for her in the end! (I also believe Physical should have been #1 officially as it's definitely my fa ourite song released this year )

35 • Fleetwood Mac - Dreams - 84 points
JSG Chart Run | 08-11-31-36 | 4 wks • Official Chart Peak 24

Who doesn't love a bit of Fleetwood Mac? No-one that's who! Everyone loves them.

Oop I'm a bit late tuning in! Hallucinate and Dreams are my faves so far though so yay

I liked it for about a while 2.5 Seconds :kink:

You should to be honest, give Save Your Tears another chance, I mean. I kinda got bored of it after a couple weeks but I enjoyed it for what it was.

Spa was gorgeous. I lived the production especially.

Yeah, I am really enjoying Levitatimg a bit more again. It sounds more 200's to me though, than the rest of Future Nostalgia.

Ola.

Yeah, Spa was a fantastic return to form. I think if it had come out at a different time of year, it might have been a bit more successful on my chart though.

I think those two Little Mix songs are my faves from them. They have one more song to come (I wasn't as big a fan of that one as these two but it charted for longer since it didn't get cut off by the EOY cut off date.
