fourth biggest debut of the year (after folklore, bad bunny & juice wrld), third biggest female debut ever (after folklore & TUN)

 

those are just the streams & not counter streams so should go up by a couple of million! (though very unlikely to affect either of the above statistics)

we also have UK MIDS for once!

 

2nd with 4,503 which is just based off digital copies!! (obvs no streaming yet) and only 73 copies behind #1!!!

If that's the James album at #1, then I think Taylor has this in the bag! I can't see James holding up throughout the week, especially against Taylor's streams!

I never understand why the vinyl from the UK store is so much more expensive than the exact same item from the US store. Ours is £31 and theirs would be about £20.
Can we talk about how underrated marjorie is?!

I'm going to be controversial and say closure is one of my favourites! Along with no body no crime, long story short and marjorie :wub:

 

I don’t hate it as much as everybody says... also don’t understand the Charli XCX comparisons! It reminds me more of something else that I can’t remember right now :P

My complaint about Closure is that it doesn't go far enough with the production, it's a bit half hearted and they should have done more to twist her vocals to match it. I love the beats but wish there were more of them and it would help if the chorus wasn't one of the worst on the album too. There was a great track somewhere in that concept but it's just not as good as it could and should have been.

 

That said, I don't absolutely hate it and actually the whole album grew on me a whole lot on second listen today. It's difficult to say how it ranks compared to Folklore so far but I'd say that the best tracks aren't quite as strong as those on Folklore while the worst tracks here are better than the worst ones on Folklore - it's pretty consistent and definitely creates a good vibe.

not sure how much hate I will receive for these rankings but the piano on closure is so beautiful. Its a pretty simple song but definitely stands out to me. Excited to see how my rankings change over time though.

lol I was about to comment on that actually! obviously see the appeal and ivy is actually my sisters favorite but the stories just don't connect with me.
