I'm here! What trolling? I was giving my opinion because I'm sick of seeing all the posts whinging about how everyone has it in for Mariah and they're setting out to stop her from getting number 1! Will be back next Friday to see if the best Christmas song of all time gets back to number 1! At least Shaky did it when sales meant something and he didn't have to wait over a quarter of a century!

Still had to wait a year after he recorded it though to avoid the Band Aid and Wham competition.

We are getting fairly low in terms of chart “sales” for a number 1 - does anything think Orson’s record of 17,694 will be challenged next year?

No, I meant chart “sales” including streams if that makes sense

Don't forget Mariah is on ACR so she should actually be #1 on sales of something like 88,000

Last Christmas she entered the chart, but the very next day they gave #1 away.

 

This year, to save us from tears, they gave it to someone special :)

Shaky won't do it. It'll be Mariah again or Wham! or Jess Glynne if Amazon's bumper pay cheque has cleared in Martin Talbot's account.

hahaha she's back at 96 now though - such a well-loved, cherished Christmas classic.

What a pathetic sentence. There is evidence. Tons of it. Just because you aren't interested in viewing it and have no interest in it, doesn't mean there isn't. You would think at your age you would approach things a little more maturely. Really, I wouldn't even bother to mention it if it wasn't there. There are many on this board that are aware of it too.
