December 11, 20205 yr I haven’t been this excited about a #1 since Rage Against the Machine It is up there with one of those classic chart moments I'm here! What trolling? I was giving my opinion because I'm sick of seeing all the posts whinging about how everyone has it in for Mariah and they're setting out to stop her from getting number 1! Will be back next Friday to see if the best Christmas song of all time gets back to number 1! At least Shaky did it when sales meant something and he didn't have to wait over a quarter of a century! :w00t: brilliant!!

Still had to wait a year after he recorded it though to avoid the Band Aid and Wham competition.
December 11, 20205 yr We are getting fairly low in terms of chart “sales” for a number 1 - does anything think Orson’s record of 17,694 will be challenged next year? Edited December 11, 20205 yr by chartjack2
December 11, 20205 yr We are getting fairly low in terms of chart “sales” for a number 1 - does anything think Orson’s record of 17,694 any time next year? Pretty sure it went long ago if I understand your post correctly
December 11, 20205 yr Don't forget Mariah is on ACR so she should actually be #1 on sales of something like 88,000
December 11, 20205 yr Last Christmas she entered the chart, but the very next day they gave #1 away. This year, to save us from tears, they gave it to someone special :)

It would be different if there was no evidence - there is loads. But it doesn't matter anymore as finally justice has been done. Shaky won't do it. It'll be Mariah again or Wham! or Jess Glynne if Amazon's bumper pay cheque has cleared in Martin Talbot's account. Last Christmas she entered the chart, but the very next day they gave #1 away. December 11, 20205 yr I might be wrong in this (please correct me if so) but until tonight, AIWFCIY was the only song ever on the UK charts that had been denied number one by ACR (others had already made it so even if they dropped because of ACR, they had already peaked at 1). Is that correct?

December 11, 20205 yr Still had to wait a year after he recorded it though to avoid the Band Aid and Wham competition. Don't disturb him. He's on August - it's the swimsuit picture in the 1986 calendar. Shaky's manager was extremely astute

Just because you want her to be number 1 and she wasn't isn't evidence. And I know Shaky won't do it - but I don't care! I watched him get there back in 1985. (And if he does happen to replace Mariah I'll see you here next week!)
December 11, 20205 yr The greatest Buzzjack Chart Show Thread moment in Mariah getting to #1? Fantastic achievement and fully deserved from Mariah.
December 11, 20205 yr The greatest Buzzjack Chart Show Thread moment in Mariah getting to #1? That was in 2009 when RATM beat Joe McElderry! What a thread that was.
December 11, 20205 yr Second greatest then? For sure! Up there with the thread where Lady Gaga unexpectedly got to number 1 with Poker Face.

Just because you want her to be number 1 and she wasn't isn't evidence." What a pathetic sentence. There is evidence. Tons of it. Just because you aren't interested in viewing it and have no interest in it, doesn't mean there isn't. You would think at your age you would approach things a little more maturely. Really, I wouldn't even bother to mention it if it wasn't there. There are many on this board that are aware of it too. It isn't pathetic, whining fans. Anyway, it's irrelevant now - finally. So you go ahead, keep posting this rubbish if it makes you feel like you are relevant.
December 11, 20205 yr That was in 2009 when RATM beat Joe McElderry! What a thread that was. I’d second that, was that thread not 50 pages long? The checking the radio 1 online camera to see Joe refusing to talk was the candle on the cake for me 😂
