It's probably just a bit conflicting for her. She left because of constant torment and trolling from people, including their own fans and then off the back of that they get a #1 with their last lead single to feature her.

Also Jesy isn't actually the most responsive, she is well known for just posting her selfies and dipping. I am with you though, I do find it odd that she's SO silent on it, but we never know what happens behind closed doors.

Yeah I find it a bit weird too. Would have been really nice for her to acknowledge her last #1. I mean it was released while she was in the group and has her vocals on it so it's as much her #1 as Viva Forever is considered Geri's #1 and Whole Again is considered Kerry's #1 (equally shared with Jenny for me!)... then again neither of them two commented at that time (albeit we didn't have social media)
She probably wants to keep it separate and probably wants to focus on kinda distancing herself away from the LM limelight. The moment she comments on it she'll get comments irregardless and it's not worth the hassle, especially for someone trying to work on their mental health for a bit and trying to distance themselves away for a while. Who knows, in a month or two she may be back and ready to face some kind of limelight and interviews again. She may even announce her plans of a solo career. But until she does, we have to respect her privacy.

Very true!

I really don't think it's in the slightest bit weird. It's very fresh right now and she must feel very weird about the situation, so wants to keep a distance publicly. It's very understandable to me. She's probably congratulated them personally, not everything is our business or needs to happen on social media

Sorry but I think it’s off.

Totally understand she wants to keep things separate but the fact fans wanted this to get to number 1 because it was the last single as a 4 etc...

She could have easily not even mentioned LM but said something on her stories like ‘Thank you all for getting my last single to #1 etc)

I have the greatest respect for her but I agree it’s odd she hasn’t even touched upon it at all given fans have supported her career for the last 10 years in LM and she’s part of that song too.

It’s just a bit of a shame

Why is it such an issue that she hasn't spoken out about it?

I genuinely don't understand lmao.

I'd have found this way stranger tbh!

She doesn’t need to say anything and I wasn’t expecting her to say anything either . She’s not in the group anymore guys and considering the reasons why she left the group it’s completely understandable why she hasn’t. Not everything has to be public for us to see as well and I’m sure she could have said something privately to the other girls about it !

Leaving a band isn't as simple as leaving a job, there must be all kinds of contracts and deals to get out of. It's as likely as any other theory that to preserve friendship they're just having lawyers sort out the legal separation and not talking to each other or about each other publicly until that's all sorted out and both sides have an outcome they're happy with.

Or the most obvious reason which is that every time they like or address Jesy it's going to create news articles and the fans going into overdrive, which is exactly the thing that Jesy wants to get away from.

Mess even when she leaves because of constant critique, some of y'all are still out here criticizing the girl. Leave her be and do what she wants

MEH still think she should of done something on her story given she was in the band 10 years and was actually part of this record.

Just some sort of acknowledgement...Her posts have given her loads of media attention anyway.

If she doesn't want the media attention then she should just go completely MIA from posting on Insta.

I'm sure she congratulated the girls privately but considering so many fans bought NUMEROUS copies because it was the last single as a 4 etc surely she could of just put something up.

I find it weird that's she just completely ignoring the fact she was even in a band for the last 10 years, the girls even referenced her on Radio 1, so it's not like they're keeping her out of the limelight anyway.

AND if you're in public eye people are going to have an opinion, they have an opinion when she constantly posts on Insta.

When she goes into other projects people are going to have an opinion, that's just how it is.

I completely get that but that's life to some extent. I completely back her but it makes no sense at all.

Generally speaking, celebs who can't handle Social Media constantly come back to it and still work in that industry, I don't get it? Come off Social Media, go live your life away from the sh*t online and get an office job or work in Butlins...

But they won't because they like the cash that comes with the industry that makes them feel like dogsh*t it just totally baffles me why all sorts of celebs constantly put themselves through it.

If it's not a personal matter we don't know of, it's probably a PR/rebranding exercise - I imagine both for herself (trying to distance her 'brand' from the group brand) and for the three band members, who are likely keen on moving on and being seen as a three-piece from now on (and what better news to reinforce it than by sharing a #1 achieved at a point when they are in fact a trio, and despite being a member down). It's weird but I see that a being done a lot in the industry, especially in the UK (e.g. your old agency contacting you 48h after leaving a job to make sure you've put your last day on LinkedIn).

She already said in her statement that she wishes the girls the best in the future, I don't feel like she needs to say more than that.
At some point, y’all have to accept that she left the group. So she has no obligation to post about the group or acknowledge what’s going on in the group. In time, she’ll probably do an interview or something to talk about what lead to the decision and at that point she’ll probably mention how she feels about the continued success of the group without her, including Sweet Melody reaching #1. But she doesn’t owe us an explanation or a post or anything.

Everyone’s got an opinion that’s fine, I never said she had to do anything but it would of been nice for her to acknowledge that fans had been downloading to do everything possible for SM to get to number 1 for a host of reasons including the fact it was her last single with the group.

Fans who have supported LM and this album and singles whilst she was in the group...Everyone knows the story and that she’s left so I really don’t understand why she couldn’t of at least acknowledged it.

She obviously doesn’t want any association now so that’s fine..

I think some of us fans are upset are because we basically did this for Jesy and how much we love her - so I think some people expected her to acknowledge that.

I do find it weird/sad she didn't acknowledge it but I kinda get it at the same time.

I just hope she's happy and doing okay, i'll continue supporting her

You really should readjust your lenses guys.

She didn’t ask anyone to take the single to #1 so there’s that... And I say that as someone that spent quite a bit of money last week as well.

I don't think anyone is saying she's ungrateful or rude for not acknowledging it, but everything has just felt really 'off' since her departure. Obvious comparison but I felt like Camila's note when she left Fifth Harmony was more personal and warm towards the other girls and their journey than Jesy's rather formal condolences to Little Mix on hers, even though the former group was wrapped up in tension and awkwardness for at least a year.

That in itself isn't a big deal at all - it's just a PR thing - but not 'liking' or commenting a single thing any of the girls/group have done since then (and vice versa) plus her unfollowing Alex and Leigh's sister and now not even a single Tweet or Instagram story about her fans getting her a final #1 single?

It's not 'bad' and nobody should be angry or expect her to do anything....but I agree with others that it's just a bit, well, odd? Awkward?

It’s all really weird! I feel like there’s tension between them..

Unfollowing Alex and Leigh’s sister is the weirdest, If they were the best of friends why would that even be a thing?

It does feel really sad, I don’t think we’ve been told the truth from the day she was taking a break.

I just hope they haven’t fallen out because they’ve been through so much and genuinely were so close.
