December 23, 20205 yr Those are CRAZY sales for Ladbaby! What was the last non-charity, non-novelty, non-Christmas track to do more than 100,000 in a week? I suppose we'd not really be comparing like for like though. It's extremely impressive that it's done that number of downloads when a lot of people have got out of the habit of downloading - but it doesn't mean that it's genuinely a more popular record than any other recent number 1s, because of course with the conversion formulas they use now it's just really difficult to hit 100k "sales" in a week via streams. Yet conversely it's a lot easier to rack up ridiculous sales totals that have rendered the "all time" chart totally meaningless! What a mess! #bahhumbug But whatevs, still v pleased for LadBaby!
December 23, 20205 yr I Don't Care did 123,825 in its first week. That was the last one of any description. Grenfell charity single was the last to do 100k+ in pure sales, having sold 168,575 (plus 1,785 SES = 170,360) So in "old money" I suppose "I Don't Care" would've probably done well over 200k
