I thought he said he was only going to do that following one last album (this forthcoming one that presumably will be Minus).

But we should always take any retiring from music announcement with a large lunch of salt.

Subtract surely, not minus ?

Minus and Subtract are both horrible titles, hope he goes with something else

'If you write a song about your nan

Keep it in the family.'

Would be a good title. :D

but his first album was called Plus, not Add. so logically - is Minus even if he had Multiply and Divide, is just my thinking.

The frustrating thing this will go top #3 on HHUK straight away and it will again show the struggles every massive female popstar minus dua have with Spotify who always debut between 25 - 40.
Delete could actually be a good title :D

I still hope he goes with '-' I mostly like the idea of natural balance, everything has its opposite, so to not complete the series of mathematical symbols would be a bit of a shame I think.

My theory is that Ed Sheeran might have got the idea for his simple album titles from Damien Rice who he was a fan of, Damien Rice's most famous album is called 'o'.

Tbf for the sake of the music industry it’s probably a good thing they’re releasing. Throw George Ezra and maybe Adele in the mix too.

Oh yeah, definetly. I don't even HATE Ed, I just find the hyperbole around him hard to stomach and maybe it's just me, but he has a certain smugness to him that I can't take to. His collabs album was really uninspired drivel as well - especially I Don't Care and I think he's actually better than that.

Saying that, he has released some really decent songs. I still love Castle On The Hill and a lot of his earlier stuff.

Preparing to eat my words if he comes back with another bland tropical pop song but I have a good feeling just from the title of this that it might actually be good. Really hoping for something similar to 'Castle On The Hill'.
I think it's gonna be his folklore tbh

His whole career has been Folklore!

Guesses for the next “mathematical” album title? (Unless I’ve missed a post about this previously...)

So far he’s gone with +, x and ÷

The logic suggests it should be a minus/subtract symbol "-"

But he could also go with the equals symbol "="

Pi symbol wouldn’t be that clever tbh "π" (most uneducated people would simply call it the “N” album)

Any other suggestions?

EDIT: Scrolled back to Page 1 and saw some discussion on this subject already.
