June 3, 20215 yr Yup a lot better than the first single for me, as others have said Robert E Smith on vocals sounds class just like his collab with Gorillaz last summer!
June 3, 20215 yr Robert's vocals refuse to age even slightly as per usual *.* I actually did like the previous CHVRCHES single but this is the one <3
June 7, 20215 yr This is stunning. I'm back on board again too. The first single kinda lost me a tad (but only in a "I'll give the album a go but I'm not excited") but this has pulled me back in. Wonderful.
June 21, 20215 yr I have to go against the grain and say I still prefer 'He Said She Said' but then I liked that song way more than anyone else here seems to (I think at this point it's probably solidified as a top 5 song in their discography for me) so that's not a knock on 'How Not To Drown' at all, it is another great single from them. Robert Smith's voice really is just timeless.
July 3, 20215 yr These two are just ok for me so far. I think they will both grow on me after the album releases, hopefully with a killer third single.
July 12, 20215 yr 3Ns3sZw88Lk Not sounding as instantly wonderful as the other two, but another good one and I'm really anticipating this album to be a good one. This angry, anti-mansplaining theme they have going is great.
July 13, 20215 yr Author 3/3 for me! Though I probably would have chose this one for lead single rather than HSSS
July 16, 20215 yr Good Girls is SO good, just like the previous two songs. This album is shaping up to be quite amazing.
August 6, 20215 yr Author A John Carpenter remix of 'Good Girls' is out this week, and in turn, CHVRCHES have remixed Carpenter's 'Turning the Bone'! ypUwRjH9sAU YU3QgHk6o3U
