Another interesting battle is the one for the lower end of the top 40 - 600 copies separate #38 and #48! champagne problems, Body and SO DONE are probably the ones to keep an eye on.

Now that I've finally actually heard it, happy to see Ed on course to be comfortably #2, it's a good song from him. Think this will likely be its peak now with Bieber coming to overtake but that's pretty good for a song that isn't nearly as pop friendly as most of his recent singles. x

Tate McRae knocking Miley & Dua out of the top 10 though... :/

treat people with kindness still hang on or has falling knock back out

Last hope other songs push dance monkey out of that possible

That lead for Sweet Melody is looking pretty comfortable now!
Little mix look safe now :yahoo: I hope Paradise can hold on in the top 10 aswell and Becky Hill dare i say is looking safe to stay top 40. Would like these to all happen and of course Kylie to stay top 100 with real groove and top 40 with disco.
Yeah it’s been safe all week as it’s doing the same if not more on streaming than Ed.

Could be the lowest #1 since the streaming era?

I think the lowest in the streaming era is I'll Be There - Jess Glynne with 37,959 sales

Lowest #1 single since?

we have week by week #1 singles sales from 2005 you can look for yourself! :P http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=160979

but because I'm curious - you have to go all the way back to 2008 to find a #1 that did less than 35k (I'll Be There was the lowest of the 2010s with 37,959) - there are numerous examples in the year

12/01 32,098 Leon Jackson - When You Believe

05/07 30,676 Ne-Yo - Closer

17/05 29,821 Madonna feat. Justin Timberlake - 4 Minutes

21/06 27,537 Mint Royale - Singin' in the Rain

28/06 23,212 Coldplay - Viva La Vida

Yup that's why I'm saying I'd rather have him be #2 over Little Mix in the albums chart, they wouldn't repeak while he would!

For me re-peak means climbing to the same spot as it’s peak.

In this case it would clearly be a NEW peak and NOT a re-peak for Harry.

Sales are always relatively low in the first full week after Christmas.

However in the singles it will be interesting to see whether they really are particularly low or just spread very thinly.

We know that the streams at the top end of Spotify are looking very bleak at the moment but I don't think they disclose the total streams? We can't yet tell whether:

- people genuinely aren't listening to music

- people are listening to music on Spotify as much as ever, just not chart music

- people are listening to as much music as ever but Spotify has lost market share

- this change is temporary or permanent (or somehow pandemic related)

Big song out tomorrow ANNE-MARIE X KSI X DIGITAL FARM ANIMALS don’t play
