edit: I found the original TikTok this is based on and sure I kinda get why that went viral but it doesn't translate into turning it into a full song, as shown by the unrelated female vocals having to be added to pad it out which add absolutely nothing to it. :')

I do like it but it would have been good if they got Big Narstie to do a verse in it after he did this version of the Nightcrawlers track a few years ago.

Which version is better by the way, this or this new version, I like both but will go with the John Reid and Big Narstie version.

I don't know that Riton and Oliver Heldens song. I genuinely thought you were referring to the Cheat Codes song because it was also a rework of an old song and that you were comparing them

EDIT I do know it actually, yes it samples Yazoo and is the song that should have been called 'Dr. Love' so as to not confuse people like me. I agree that was a bit 'cheap' as you call it, as it does rely a lot on the sample. I prefer this new song 'Friday' even though it also relies a lot on a sample, as I think because Yazoo's Don't Go was a full song with lyrics that I really liked, it annoyed me a bit that just the instrumental drop of Don't Go was sampled in the track, whereas Push The Feelin On is is sampled in a more complete manner with original lyrics in a part of the song.

Another cover version being top 40. Predictable but I like it. :cheer:
Surprised Radio 2 are playing this. Great to see Radio 1 support. I know it's cheesy, but it's not that bad

this really doesn’t deserve to have outpeaked Rinse and Repeat and Turn Me On but I guess with the double whammy of a obvious sample and TikTok meme it was always going to.

Riton's chart singles have each been significantly worse than the previous one while charting higher. Oops.

('Turn Me On' was still decent but not a patch on 'Rinse & Repeat')
