That same page is now outright saying it's The Frock Destroyers... so I wouldn't believe anything it says!

There's no way it will actually be TFD, I wouldn't mind them but they've already officially denied it being a novelty act this year. (I'm fully expecting it'll be James Newman again)

I kind of hope it isn’t the Frock Destroyers - only Divina can sing and it would not say to the competition that the Uk is serious - unless they come to it with an absolute banger that will come across well live
see if it is the Frock Destroyers. I feel like they would come with an MNEK produced track which makes me hopeful it would be good even if novelty! And that's something Eurovision can get on board with. Honestly I'd much rather fun and hopeless than plain and hopeless like we've done several times already!

Yeah it feels like the alternative to novelty is MOR music or good ballads that are just not contenders

I think the last entry I felt confident about came 17th (Molly)

Baga also sings, Blu doesn't tbf that would be a bit of a mountain to climb  But I agree, it would be so much better to have a fun song from Frock Destroyers than a boring MOR song from James Newman. If we're gonna flop, why not flop being a bit of a talking point and being fun?

Yet BMG have the likes of Bloc Party and Foxes if we ever get a good result

Agreed, why not have a bit fun, enjoy the Contest and not be constantly worried about points and where we finish?
Frock Destroyers would be a Scooch level embarrassment. I really hope it's not them.
Wouldn't be surprised if it is Frock Destroyers. The BBC have been begging Jason Donovan and John Barrowman to do it for years and internally selected Electro Velvet. Their standards are not high.

As much as Frock Destroyers is NOT the direction they should be going in, given the BBC's inclination for beige forgettable acts(see the last 4 years) do we really think they'd have the BALLS to send them?

I'm not convinced. Post Electro Velvet they seem determine to minimize any attention that comes their way.

3 people? Adele, Ed Sheeran and Harry Styles combo - if that doesn’t work nothing will
Insane conspiracy theory: It's the winner of tonight's The Masked Singer but it's been agreed between BBC and ITV (possibly by a NDA, mauybe just on a handshake) that they won't spoil it for anyone

Joss Stone feat. Ne-Yo needs to happen tbh.

the frock destroyers could be a genius signing - drag race is viewed all over the world. to fans worldwide, they are superstars + could generate voters for sure.
A talentless drag act is not the answer I’m sorry. They need a decent song and a performer which charisma- I don’t know why this is such a challenge each year.

Talentless?!

I'd so much rather something fun and memorable than a mediocre nobody.

So when and on what platform are we going to get an announcement do we think?
If we aren't getting Fleur, maybe we could be getting this..

I hope if it is James it’s upbeat. Something like Tom Grennan’s ‘Little Bit of Love’. Something anthemic but not cheesy Eurovision that the BBC like to send.

It’s James Newman, on BBC Eurovision’s official Twitter they’ve announced the artist.
