Digga D looks set to get his 3rd top 40 hit and first since his release from prison earlier this year. The 18 year old is one of the biggest names in drill and I'm sure his referencing of his time in jail will keep the curiosity surrounding this release pretty high. In typical Digga style this song is full of adlibs so I'm sure it's going to be pretty universally disliked on here.

 

 

I grew to really like 'No Diet' after finding it pretty lazy / average on first listen but I really can't see that happening with this, this just kind of gives me second hand embarrassment to be honest (especially with the music video which looks like him trying to emulate early 6ix9ine videos for god knows what reason? :')). Coming to be... the second worst UK drill top 40 hit? Hard to beat 'Opp Thot' but honestly it isn't that far off.

Liked some of his stuff but this is laughably bad.

This is a bit of a tune. I actually like the woi woi woi backing vocal. Great bassline of course which I very much like about the drill genre. 'Stuck in a dock hickory dickory', what a lyric! What was that about nail clippers at the start though?

This one grew on me but it wouldn't have caught my attention if it wasn't for that Quagmire line

Digga D is set to achieve his 2nd top 40 hit of the year with Chingy (It's Whatever) after Woi reached #24 in July. With that title I'm sure you won't be surprised to hear that the song relies heavily on adlibs referencing rapper Chingy's only notable success, his #17 hit from 2003 'Right Thurr'.

 

 

Managed to go Top 20 for him.

He must be taking the piss at this point with these songs. At least this is better than 'Woi' though lmao ~

Digga D has teamed up with AJ Tracey to deliver Bringing It Back which looks like it's going to give him with biggest hit to date. It was at #2 on Spotify yesterday but has dropped slightly to #4 today. It was only at #16 though it today's first look chart which seems weird but there's obviously some data missing. I expect this to be top 10 by Friday. I haven't heard it yet but I have hope. I'm sure AJ will work well on drill.

 

 

Wow this is a very good tune :music: , although maybe not quite enough of a bassline in this one for my liking. The bassline is what I like about drill music production.

 

The rap flow is great. I like the fact Digga D uses the 'woi' high pitched backing voice again like in 'Woi'.

The mixtape is officially called Made in the Pyrex and will be released on Friday. I've decided to merge together the threads for the singles. 'Woi' & 'Bringing It Back' are both brilliant so I've actually got some hype to hear this now.

 

Toxic looks like it will become the 4th top 40 hit from the project.

 

Brining It Back is nothing special but I'm really liking Toxic! Definitely the best thing I've heard from him after No Diet which has to be one of my fave drill songs.
