February 12, 20214 yr Such a fun challenge this week and the song was so good! Not quite “Break Up (Bye Bye)” level of epic but still such a highlight! Obvious winners though I didn’t like how the show edited Bananadrama to be so much worse than they were, they made it look like the judges hated it which was massively undeserved. From the United Kingdolls I’d have gave the win to Tayce, especially since she choreographed it so well. I don’t agree at all with all 4 winning when there were clear stand outs in Tayce and Bimini and the a clear weaker member in Lawrence. When the Frock Destroyers won its cause the were completely on the same level and while this group killed it it just didn’t quite match up in the same way. Also for Lawrence to win yet again on one of her weaker performances and her worst runway I feel just kind of invalidates what could have been a stand out first win for Tayce or Bimini. I felt the losing team got a rough go of it, cues there was issues but found it ridiculous the way Ru blew up at them and it made me uncomfortable. Yes it had its issues but it was hardly a car crash of a performance in any ways. I loved Tia and Ellie’s verses so it was a shame one of them had to be in the bottom two though I would have probably put Ellie there, don’t think her runway was all that good. A shame for Joe to come back just for that but it would have felt wrong for anyone else to go. I do wonder who would have left had Veronica still been in as I definitely think she’d have stayed and possibly done quite well.
February 12, 20214 yr Author Holy crap... for me this episode had absolutely everything. 10/10 for me and THE GAGGERY of this season A returning queen! A queen quitting and another withdrawing! A four-way win. A queen winning three episodes in a row! And the challenge performance was such a hot mess on both sides. And Sister Sister just continues to be dreadful PLUS was a dickhead this episode. And I was dying laughing every time Ellie Diamond in that fvcking seagull outfit was onscreen omg I thought it was AWFUL Plus Ru's rant & seeming the most human she has for years. Really epic episode.
February 12, 20214 yr Author And Tia was just EVERYTHING this episode, iconically good AND iconically bad. I gasped at how awful her runway was after 7 months to rework. Also whatever work Bimimi & Sister had had done it did not come across well on tv. They looked like aliens!
February 12, 20214 yr UKD really smashed it so well done but Tayce deserved to be the only winner to be quiet frankly!! EDIT: Actually now I have to agree with most of you...this was a group challenge so it was only fair for all of them to share the win (as much as some of us think there have been too many RuPeter badges for Lawrence already )
February 12, 20214 yr Also, not really understanding everyone randomly hating Lawrence though? It's such a Buzzjack thing to hate someone doing well on the first few episodes of Drag Race to be 'controversial' Honestly it's baffling me as well, idk why people are so raging that she won this week because it wasn't like it was a solo win it was the whole team??? It's not like they were the worst bunch either  I do agree that Bimini was the standout though and if it was a solo win then it would be hers, Lawrence isn't a dancer so there'd be no surprise in her losing that challenge but I think she did well considering, her logic in picking the members of her team was spot on and really paid off, they all did a great job As for the other team I was surprised Ellie wasn't in the bottom because her performance was very bland and then that runway... It literally could have been any of them but I did think Tia's rap would have saved her as it was good. Sister sister is my least favourite right now like how is she even still here?! Her runway was only half decent because she clearly copied awhora's concept but even Joe's outfit was better, he was kinda shite in the performance though but I would have had Ellie and Sister I'm the bottom. I was low-key rooting for Tia up until this episode because she was coming across quite down to earth and funny, she knows she's one of the weakest in the group but she's taking that and running with it however we're like half way through the competition now and she's still not upped her game, she was showing signs of doing it with last week's runway so you'd think after 7 months she'd have improved more than she has. I'm getting a bit bored of it now but what's really putting me off her is this kinda nasty streak she's starting to show with some of her comments, especially towards Lawrence. That one where she said something along the lines of "what's Lawrence going to do when they all wear bikinis" clearly taking a low-blow and shaming her for being bigger, that's never funny, especially when they'd just come out of lockdown and Lawrence even said to Bimini about him struggling mentally with it and stress eating etc. I hate how Tia is now doing what Sister did and is cutting him off any time he tries to speak but making it look like Lawrence is just trying to be the loudest voice in the room - the power of editing can be blamed for that as well I suppose. I'm looking forward to snatch game though, I think it's probably going to be between Bimini and Lawrence as the front runners but seeing the characters Tia could also be quite funny. I think Ellie will probably go and Tace could be in trouble too but with any luck sister will bomb harder than anyone and will have no choice but to go home x
February 12, 20214 yr My main issues with Lawrence being given a joint win are: * Their previous wins were deserved. Lawrence is a talent and in the weeks she won, in my opinion, she was either high or top * She was the weak link of the group and her runway look was poor (if she didn’t have the headpiece I wouldn’t know what she was supposed to be) * Tayce or Bimini deserved to be called out as an individual winner - the gap between them and Lawrence was huge * Tia/Sister gave better performances and in my opinion Sister’s runway was better than Lawrence’s Based on all the above - it just feels like a poor excuse for a win. I actually think Lawrence will be at risk in future challenges now - she said she did nothing during lockdown and this challenge highlighted that she had to rely on others to do well
February 12, 20214 yr Same tbh oops, she's just pretty basic for me. Last week's Monster look was good but then most other stuff she did was flat out forgettable, basic at best, and I couldn't take to her personality at all. I can't see that she had much more to give personally. The robot look was indeed very basic and she won that episode because she faded into the background for sure indeed yes girl okurrr

She has her own style and I like that she's able to work it into whatever the category may be. I don't think she's at risk, I think she'll definitely make top three but whether she wins or not I'm not sure, it could be Bimini's for the taking. I think the UK Dolls will be the top four. It's not like she chose not to do drag in 7 months she literally had no other choice but pretty much all of them will be in the same boat right? Her performances largely come from her personality so I'm not worried really and she makes her own outfits etc so I imagine she'll still be going with whatever she had planned before the break. Everyone has their strengths and weaknesses, it just so happens that this week didn't really play to Lawrence's strengths but she's won multiple challenges already even without this. Snatch game will be up her street as well and I don't imagine we'll get another singing/dancing episode before the final. She is a great performer though so even if she has to lip sync it's not set in stone that she'll lose it!

Tia’s was the worst runway look (by far) and I agree Lawrence has been a great performer up to this point. As for the lockdown thing - other queens talked about practicing/fine-tuning their act whilst away. It did not sound like Lawrence did that. I actually would like to see Lawrence top 3 - I just think her 3rd win in a row was very undeserved, when the 3 queens she shared it with were much better than her
February 12, 20214 yr Just listening to the United Kingdolls’ version again and omg Tayce’s Fatman Scoop adlibs hahaha. Perfect.
February 12, 20214 yr I think they all played their part in making the team the best it could've been in fairness so I think to say one didn't deserve it over the rest of them is a bit much, even if there was a standout in the performance, it takes more than just a good verse/dance to bring it all together well. If it was a solo win it might have even been tayce or Bimini so I guess it's easier just to reward the whole team. I mean Lawrence probably did do live streams and bits of drag at home when she could like everyone else too, all she was meaning when she said she hadn't done drag was that she hadn't done a performance, everywhere's shut, we weren't allowed out except for essential purposes so unless she went in full drag for a trip to Tesco there wasn't gonna be a chance for her to do it
February 12, 20214 yr i don't understand this Lawrence hate. I could swear everyone loved her at the very beginning before she started slaying?? Yeah she can come across as a tiny bit arrogant but GURL she's like the funniest of them all. Apart from Tia of course. Tia has more charisma than half of the cast put together

In this challenge only, in my opinion, she did not deserve to be in the top with Tayce/Bimini
February 12, 20214 yr maybe not hate but a lot of people are being over-critical over her or because she's continually doing well people seem to be using that as a reason to dislike her. you didn't see baga getting these sort of comments and she's far less funny and generally looks trashy af
February 12, 20214 yr I’ve never warmed to Lawrence, I just find her and her style of humour really annoying. It reminds me of when everyone loved Nina West and I just...didn’t. She’s really polished though, I can appreciate her being really talented but she’s far from my favourite in the series. Good for her doing so consistently well though. Ha, agreed about Baga, some of her looks were tragic but she didn’t get the same comments as far as I remember.

Tia has more charisma than half of the cast put together  I absolutely loved Lawrence in the first few weeks, but I am just getting a bit tired of her, as she seems to be a one-trick pony and it's not helping the clear favourism Ru is showing (I know that's obviously not her fault ofcourse). It just seems to same every week, and then winning and winning when there are stronger people out there. I am definitely not saying I dislike her, she is very funny, and still deserves to be here.
February 12, 20214 yr Author I think Lawrence is great! I think partly it might depend on if you know someone like her. I find that like... not aiming this at anyone here specifically, because I don't mean that, but in general I find that English people have a lower barrier for what's 'rude' or inappropriate, and Lawrence isn't being edited around that expectation. Yeah, she swears a lot, but that's because people do where she's from, it's not actually haughty or aggressive in context, that's just how she's used to everyone talking. As for 3 wins in a row, yes, it is a lot, but on the other hand, it would also be unrealistic to artificially deny her legitimate wins just because of making track record balanced. Baga won consecutive weeks in UKS1 and so did at least to my recollection Gigi, Jaida and Eureka.
February 12, 20214 yr It’s clear Lawrence was not the strongest in the team this week BUT given he went into it saying ‘fml this isn’t my thing’, he really stepped up to the bar. Choreo was there, performance was always on and drawing the eye, she took her weaknesses and focussed on her strength with a SELL SELL SELL approach. Other people had better verses, and not as good performances. They all brought something tho the table and had different strengths. Would it have been unfair if she was given the win solo? Yes. Was it a group performance where they all pulled their weight? Yes. I’m not mad. But I agree if it had just been one, Bimini. For me, Tia had the best verse of all and despite the runway should have been safe. Thought Sister is getting nowhere near enough credit, the performance standout of group two for me, upped her game and looked stun. Ellie v Joe in my opinion, from the neck down I didn’t enjoy Ellie’s seagull. But ultimately glad it was a one in one out and the one was the same person.
