Calum was debating his artist for a while - it was a tough choice between three options he had. Demi Lovato was his final choice, though, and he secured it instantly as our first entrant! From the very beginning, Jessie Ware grabbed me as a rare type of talent in the 21st century - a chanteuse with a vocal delivery in equal parts delicate, powerful and emotionally charge and an air of sophistication and style not seen, or matched, since Sade. Her silky-smooth tunes evolved from seductive lounge musings to where we know her know, a pop/dance diva embracing funk, disco, R&B, MOR and everything in between. Who doesn't love a musical chameleon? Her sense of humour, style and the passion in her voice has made her a constant favourite of mine and with each era, the love spreads a little more. She's already captivated a small but dedicated fanbase with her music and I feel the love for Jessie has never been higher, so what better time to dip into her first four albums? Because believe me, with the talent she has, it's not long before she's going stratospheric. Don't you wanna be ahead of the curve?

YES!!!!!! WYP was my album of the year I adore her

What's Your Pleasure is the only album of Jessie's I've heard in full (+ a few other singles from previous era's) so looking forward to discovering more of her music!

Ooh yay Leww :wub: I love her latest album, '110%', 'Aaliyah' and 'Confess To Me' but don't know a lot else so this should hopefully help!

Miley Cyrus has been one of pop's princesses since she first exploded on to our screens as Hannah Montana in the mid 00s. Since then, we've grown up alongside her and seen her evolve plenty of times into a wrecking ball riding sensation, into a pink wigged fictional hologram popstar and now a mullet sporting punk rockstar!

 

For me, Miley has really grown into her own over the last few years and showcased how addictive her vocals can be. She's one of those artists who could literally cover the phone book and somehow it would still sound so gritty and raw. I think it has been since the She Is Coming era that I've really become a super-fan of hers and I can't wait to share with others just how fabulous she is.

 

Miley has one of the most diverse discographies in current pop music and fingers crossed we get to show off her whole range of eras (and characters!) in just 8 rounds. We're hoping a mixed bag of nostalgic bops and current ACR-avoiding chart smashes can help us take Miley all the way to the crown in this competition.

one of the strongest competitors for sure! some of the Can’t Be Tamed album tracks are brilliant

Miley is a very much love/hate for me. She has laregly GREAT singles but her albums are quite patchy when I listened to them, so I am hoping some good choices are made in the album track rounds! When she's good though, she is near unbeatable :wub: Slide Away to slide away to a win ~
