I had no idea this was a cover until years after it came out! Slots really easily into Britney's discography, feels very underrated these days.

AMAZING cover, so very well fitted to her life! and that video daamn

 

Imagine how BoM would have sounded on the radio... It would be like Ray of Light-level shocks to people. It would have been a defining moment and made ITZ even more iconic. What I love is that the sexist music "reviewers" tore ITZ to pieces, riding on the waves of her bad press, and yet the music did the talking and slapped and they now admit it was her best album.

ITZ = a true moment in pop history.

This is one of my all time favourite cover songs. It fits her as a celebrity perfectly and it took me a while to know that this was a cover. It really feels like it was made for her.

Do Somethin' feels quite regressive to me? Especially after Toxic and Everytime! Very mid 00s!
