March 6, 20215 yr Author anyhow, ouch at Weeknd spending two weeks at eleven, and with Drake coming this week it looks like he’ll be set for a second win of Favourite Non Top 10 Hit.
March 6, 20215 yr Great to see "Motive" re-enter. I hope they push that as the next single from the album. I hope Jessie Ware's album will somehow get sucked up back into the top 100 at some point. "Remember Where You Are" is getting decent airplay support which seems to be keeping the album just outside the top 100? I'm glad her Graham Norton performance boosted the album so much. Even out of the top 100, it's still selling a decent amount more than it was previously. A deluxe edition of the album is still to come which will hopefully boost it up. Glad to see Miley only fall 6 positions in the album chart with 10 NE/REs ahead of her. Also, ABBA are going to pass 1,000 weeks in the top 100 this year. :o
March 8, 20215 yr How class is the sales chart - such a mixture of genres! Yes, but it's hardly representative or even worth paying much attention to anymore. As we even found out ourselves yesterday, it's driven by very very low sales.
March 8, 20215 yr Yeh but I’m talking about the songs which I still think are representative of what’s popular. The grime and rap music in the official chart represents a lot of what the youth stream to death.
March 8, 20215 yr Yeh but I’m talking about the songs which I still think are representative of what’s popular. The grime and rap music in the official chart represents a lot of what the youth stream to death. Cosmic Dancer by Morrissey & David Bowie got to number two on the sales chart just last week. Pretty representative of what's popular at the moment??
March 8, 20215 yr It’s the first sales chart I’ve had a look at in ages and that current top 10 is very representative for me, yes big artists will probably peak high due to the name but the longevity will always be for the biggest songs of that moment.
March 9, 20215 yr oh Julien Baker missed the top 40 on albums Album of the Year so far for me... Too bad it got beaten by all those albums that should be on the playlist chart
