Just out of curiosity how much do iTunes sales actually count towards the chart? I’ve seen songs be number 1 on iTunes and make no appearance whatsoever in the final chart

 

To be literal, they count as 1 download on iTunes equals 1 sale... :kink:

 

Pure sales have reached a low enough point that being #1 on the sales chart isn't always enough to make the overall top 100 if the song has negligible streaming support. Reaching #1 on iTunes is even less of a guarantee of making the top 100, as a song can briefly hit #1 on iTunes then drop out and probably not even sell 1,000 copies for the week. Strong download sales can still make a difference in the chart (a relatively small sales difference can overcome a much bigger streaming difference) but it's rare for them to be the primary driving factor behind a song's chart position any more, apart from charity singles of course.

That Sound of Silence cover is good, I was expecting it to be a dance song and maybe not even a Simon and Garfunkel cover because it has GBX in it but holds pretty much true to the Disturbed version of Sound of Silence.
