Define "musical ability"? He is not a good singer, but there are way worse rappers and songwriters that have become successful.

He is REALLY not a good singer lol That’s What I Want was painful… his songs are so well-produced that it reminds me of when The X Factor producers would give an act they’re pushing loads of help with backing vocals so they’d sound amazing

I think it depends how we look at it... For instance, Tyler the Creator might be a better artist "musically" if you ask me, but LNX is way more interesting as a performer/pop culture phenomenon.

Saying he has no musical ability is just ridiculous.

Now I don't know how much involvement he does or doesn't have in his music but I think it's a pretty strong rap/pop album with some pretty catchy tracks. Whether that's his involvement or a wider team, I don't really care tbh as long as the music itself is good.

I get the general point you're making here but of all the artists you could have chosen to make this point Tyler, The Creator is certainly not the one I'd have gone for xx He's pretty well-known for extravagant performances and music videos etc. as well.

His lyrics are actually genius, maybe he's not Mariah Carey but

he's super talented at song lyrics

He writes super personal and powerful lyrics

So are we all just ignoring the fact that he has no musical ability whatsoever lol

Absolute bollocks

Absolutely incredible album. The variety! That’s What I Want l, Dolla Sign Slime, Life After Salem
Nicki declined 'Industry Baby' (well she left him on read).

Why am I not surprised lol, she's garbage

he said he asked a lot of rappers to feature on his record that declined so i wonder if thats why the album leaked as such because he sent out the whole files to people to see if they'd jump on any of the tracks?

He apparently reached out to Drake as well to be on Dolla Sign Slime but he was too busy recording his own album to do it . I could actually hear Drake on that song as well so it’s a shame he couldn’t do it.

who would want Drakes monotonic vocals on a song? to make the listeners fall asleep? :D

He’s arguably the most popular artist out right now so who wouldn’t want him on a song tbh ? I wouldn’t be surprised at a remix single version with both Meg and Drake on it in the future .

I'd highlight the word "arguably". It depends on where you live. Only 1 of his new tracks went top ten in my country and now that's gone too. His success is very much limited to the US, Canada and to UK and Australia to some extent.

On Youtube, his videos don't always reach 50 million even.
