Hooray, a solid start here. 'Axel F' was everywhere and still feels somewhat relevant now with its crazy YouTube views.

Edit: Oh I really dropped the ball there.

Picking a #1 feels so obvious now but the 'Singles that climbed to their peak between 1996-2004' thread was in my head and a lot of non-#1s were mentioned.

A performer with exactly two top 40 hits.

She may well be getting her third hit this week but until then Olivia Rodrigo fits the question and is the most answered answer to any question in this round. Tom Grennan also got a fair few answers for having two current hits and, tough luck to anyone else.

11 - Olivia Rodrigo - dan::G, xajnipi, Mangø, Dobbo, King Rollo, JulianT, n4yr, jimwatts, Bré, Mack, RabbitFurCoat, Dan17F1

7 - Tom Grennan - chrissmith276, Bjork, Riser, Jade, West, coi, PeteFromLeeds, LewisGT

0 - Bob The Builder - paulgilb

0 - Tinashe - vibe

0 - Psy - CJK

0 - Owl City - Chez Wombat

0 - Topic & A7S - awardinary

0 - Icona Pop - Cameron

0 - The Kid Laroi - Ansel

I almost picked Bob The Builder for that one as I thought he would be in people's minds after the other question. I'm glad I went for Olivia Rodrigo instead.

well I had no idea of that so I'd have never have got it but ugh :')

I'm just praying the answer to the bonus one gets me a good score, I was proud of it *someone else answers it*

Starting to go much better for me now, not particularly confident about the last two questions though!

A top 40 hit with three credited performers.

The UK's #1 single until Friday, it isn't a surprise really that Wellerman is the top answer here. Jessie J's track from years ago is still well remembered for being such a high profile three way collab and is in 2nd place here.

9 - Wellerman (Evans/220 Kid/Billen Ted) - dan::G, xajnipi, chrissmith276, King Rollo, JulianT, West, coi, PeteFromLeeds, Chez Wombat, LewisGT

6 - Bang Bang (Jessie J/Grande/Minaj) - paulgilb, vibe, Mangø, Dobbo, Jade, CJK, Cameron

2 - Own It (Stormzy/Sheeran/Burna Boy) - jimwatts, Bré, RabbitFurCoat

1 - Bed (Corry/Raye/Guetta) - Bjork, Dan17F1

0 - Your Love (ATB/Topic/A7S) - Riser

0 - Peaches (Bieber/Caesar/Giveon) - n4yr

0 - The Way I Are (Timbaland/Hilson/D.O.E.) - Mack

0 - Run This Town (Jay Z/Rihanna/West) - awardinary

0 - Don’t Call Me Angel (Grande/Cyrus/Lana) - Ansel

Doing OK so far I think, lots of answers that aren't perfect but aren't too bad either! A bit surprised that Skepta was such a popular answer in Pointless but relieved that Can We Fix It and Thinking Out Loud did well in Family Fortunes as I wasn't certain on those! Glad my tactic of going recent has paid off with Wellerman too.
That’s very annoying - Wellerman even crossed my mind but I wasn’t sure if 220 Kid and Billen Ted were officially credited on it so I didn’t go for it!
Being an Ariana fan paying off (although not so much for 'Don't Call Me Angel' oops) *.* not that I'm particularly keen on 'Bang Bang' :kink:

Oops for not thinking of Wellerman for that one.

A song that spent over 100 weeks in the top 100.

1 - Merry Christmas Everyone (Shakin Stevens) - paulgilb, JulianT

I presume these were actually for Slade?

(the Shakin' Stevens song is only on 78 weeks)

A top 40 hit that was considered an underperformance by the standards of the performer behind it.

When Drake put out his first single of the year many were expecting a huge hit but instead we got What's Next which went top 5 from name power before bombing down the charts, that makes it the most popular answer here, with Dua Lipa's most recent single also doing well here having missed the UK top 20. Spice Girls get a few answers still despite the age of the song just from the shock of an act who once went top 2 with every single missing the top 10. Justin Bieber's limp comeback single (which did actually perform decently but not the massive hit we were expecting) and Calvin's surprisingly low-key collab with The Weeknd also get points.

5 - What’s Next (Drake) - dan::G, Bjork, jimwatts, Bré, coi, PeteFromLeeds

3 - We’re Good (Dua Lipa) - chrissmith276, JulianT, West, Ansel

2 - Headlines (Friendship Never Ends) (Spice Girls) - paulgilb, King Rollo, CJK

2 - Yummy (Justin Bieber) - xajnipi, Chez Wombat, LewisGT

2 - Over Now (Harris/Weeknd) - Riser, Mack, RabbitFurCoat

0 - Bedroom Floor (Liam Payne) - vibe

0 - Born This Way (Lady Gaga) - Mangø

0 - Afterglow (Ed Sheeran) - Dobbo

0 - Perfect Illusion (Lady Gaga) - n4yr

0 - Wonder (Shawn Mendes) - Jade

0 - Daisies (Katy Perry) - awardinary

0 - No More Sad Songs (Little Mix) - Cameron

0 - Give Me All Your Luvin (Madonna) - Dan17F1

You are right those are Slade votes

Oh dear - what a crap end after doing quite well at the beginning. I should definitely have thought of recency when doing that final question.
Relieved that choosing What's Next worked! I like the song but figured that it would be considered a high profile recent flop here
Oh oops I thought Shawn would be a good bet as his album / 'Wonder' + 'Monster' adjacently were mentioned on here a fair bit as under-performances. Boo!
