A lot of the Pit Stop guests this season (except Violet, love her honesty) have been full of praise and not much criticism for the queens of season 13.

Jinkx on this week's episode said that the final 4 performance this season was "the best girl group challenge ever on the show".

 

The season has been a bit divisive with fans though.

 

How do you think Kandy, Gottmik, Symone and Rose, as a top 4, compare to other top 4s of the past, like

• Courtney, Bianca, Darienne and Adore
• Jinkx, Roxxxy, Detox and Alaska
• Bob, Kim Chi, Chi Chi and Naomi
• Gigi Goode, Jaida Essence Hall, Crystal Methyd and Jackie Cox
• Lawrence Chaney, Bimini Bon Boulash, Ellie Diamond and Tayce?

I don’t think any of them would have made top 4 in most other seasons If i’m honest- maybe Symone? For me I think Season 3,5,6,8,9,12 and UK2 have the strongest finalists

Best possibly ever for me if we take out Kandy, where all three could genuinely win and I love them pretty much equally. I think people struggle to separate not liking the season with the queens being bad, all three are pretty good all rounders. The rest of the cast, yes I'd say as a whole they have been weaker, but definitely not this top 3 (well what should be the top 3, whether they pull rigga morris to get Kandy top 3 or even top 2 remains to be seen ofc).

 

I think maybe Rosè in another "stronger" season might have kind of been a Miz Cracker type who struggled to quite nab some wins but eventually got one and came unstuck just before the final, Symone or Mik I could easily see in a final for any other season, maybe just short, I don't think any of these would have won S12 over Jaida or Gigi but they'd have made the final.

It's actually not that bad imo - Rosé and Symone have talent, star quality and an overall package that appeals to me so strongly - throw them anything and they'll deliver it back in their own style to absolute quality. Gottmik is also really good at what she does, but there is something missing with her and I can't pinpoint what. Kandy I think is attractive out of drag and can be funny and has definitely improved as someone to watch over the many, many, many weeks but she hasn't showcased as much talent or potential as the other three despite being given many chances - the obvious weak link but it's not as bad a top 4 as Season 7 and definitely not as bad as AS4.

I really don't rate them that much... but I'm increasingly thinking they might have the season 7 issue of the challenges not matching the queens' expertise areas.

 

I feel like this cast lost some strong queens too early.

 

I would put S6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 8, 9, 10 and 12's top 4 as stronger, with only 11 being pulled down by Silky & 1 by Becky. And then S7 had Pearl, enough said.

I would say it's one of the weaker top 4s of the series. However the series overall had some really great/strong queens. I would have been really interested to see how the series would've planned out had Kandy been eliminated. Denali, Olivia, Utica and Tina could've all been in the top 4 (Taking Kandy's spot or eliminating one of the other girls) had Kandy gone home originally.

 

One thing I think would be amazing in the future is an all stars cast being a large number of season 13 girls. Maybe AS7 or AS8. I can imagine Denali/Olivia/Utica/Tina/Kandy/Rose/Gotmik/Symone being really fierce competitiors on an AS series and Tamisha too once she's fully healed.

Gottmik is one of the strongest contestants in years... I do like Symone as well but they have been the obvious front runners since the beginning. I genuinely don't remember anyone else except dear Tamisha.
