Just catching up with this. I'm not sure I agree with the splitting of tied positions, if someone's on equal points then they're tied! But I won't make a fuss about it, I'll graciously accept 7th place rather than 5th :mellow:

I was happy to figure out the theme but wrongly assumed that only the song titles would fit the theme, I never considered the artist names which really cost me. It was a clever theme though and I enjoyed it!

 

I also naively guessed Kylie's 'Chocolate' on the wrong song, and somehow failed to recognize the amazing 'There You'll Be', argh! Also kicking myself for not considering 'Rabbit' for most correctly guessed, but relieved that so many others fell for the same trap as me :P

How the f*** was that rabbit song the most guessed even more than Katy Perry?! Never even heard it in my life :lol:

 

After I submitted I noticed a lot of chocolate songs but wouldn't have worked out the theme from that alone. Very good quiz!

Sorry I realise that was harsh on you, and not very nice thanks for all the help you gave me with posting YouTube links etc. :P

I don’t know if it’s OCD or whatever but my brain just finds tied positions deeply dissatisfying and needs to remove them. If I look at a chart from the 1950s with tied positions I get quite upset. :lol:

 

So if you want to take the tied version for the purposes of the championship points to be consistent with the other quizzes that’s really fine by me! :)

I was a big fan of All About Eve and all the folky-goth bands of the late 80s, so I certainly knew Marillion-Easter

and actually from that I knew the theme from 1st listen and that helped identify other songs

 

The 2 I missed, that Hot chocolate song Im sure I've never herd it before

and M5-Sugar I've heard it many times but that intro is kinda non-specific, amazed people did recognize it

I'm glad I worked out the theme quickly as it really helped with some - I only got Marillion by searching for songs with Easter in the title (there aren't many!!)

 

After forgetting last weeks quiz and being pretty bad at some of the others (digbats!) it's good to pick up some points.

This was my first quiz I’ve done on here and I really enjoyed it, I’m definitely gonna look out for more! :)
