Popjustice members have been strongly hinting that the upcoming single is called 'What The Future Holds'!

Looking forward to hearing the new single. Scared of the dark was a great lead the last time so I'm hoping they can repeat that again.

I think the campaigns on hold a while... there was meant to be an announcement Thursday gone (or Thursday coming... I can't remember) and I'm under the impression its been stalled for the time being.

I dont blame them for stalling with everything going on.

Since they're known as a touring act, I assume they would've announced a tour in relation to whatever music they're releasing, so yeah, it's probably a good idea to put everything on hold.

Their postponed comeback single 'What the Future Holds' was accidentally released on Apple Music China :o It's been leaked, but links are hard to come by because their team has been very efficient with removing them (I don't have it downloaded, I've not heard it!)

Does that mean the original release date was intended to be today?

I feel like it was supposed to be the end of March? They were supposed to be on The One Show on the 27th iirc but their appearance was scrapped

That's right, it was scheduled for the end of March (along with an album announcement / tour announcement!), so it seems like it's a random mistake that the song went live on Apple Music China today. Perhaps the end of May was a tentatively rescheduled date for it? Before it became clear that they'd not be able to physically promote it by then.

 

It's a pity that it was accidentally released, but I'm sure most of the people interested in hearing the leak are those who'll go on to support the song eventually... so it shouldn't be too damaging. They shot the music video for it months ago, so I assume they'll persevere with this song as the lead single, despite the set backs.
