They should have released on Friday as I think this would have gone too 40. But I’d imagine they’re interested in album presale a to have a killer first week in November

They got many promotional slots with Scared of The Dark that helped its chart position so it may be harder this time around.

That said,it's starting point is similar to Scared of the Dark.

I loved this on first listen. It definitely is Steps-by-numbers but that's no bad thing, I think I'd be disappointed if they'd drastically changed their sound. It sounds somewhat fresh but true to their style.

I prefer Scared of the Dark but I am enjoying this too.

Im liking more and more with each listen, the verses are stronger than scared of the dark but i think scared of the dark has a stronger hook in the chorus.

I've had this on a lot over the past day, I really like it, for me it's been just as instant as Sacred of the Dark. Definitely looking to get tickets to their tour next year.

I'm a little undecided... i loved it at first but i can't really bring myself to binge on it... it's a bit screechy for me.

That chorus is definitely an ear worm it's growing on me more and more each time I hear it.

Chorus is def an ear worm but i still prefer the opening minute of the song before the chorus.

& the lyrics really go with the current time too. Even seeing a video full of dancers is a throwback!

Ahhh the video is excellent! 🤩 Really sleek, and definitely better than all the Tears era videos. It’s also nice that Lee is getting his moment to shine with this single. They all look fantastic!

 

With the song & video they’ve nailed it when it comes to delivering what Steps should be in 2020.

It always astounds me that they still look so amazing after 20+ years!

Like with TOTDF they have managed to keep the Steps sound but also kept it modern, going by what the future holds I thi I the new album will be as good as TOTDF.

You think it's better than the Tears era videos!? I completely disagree bar maybe the Dancing with a broken heart video! I thought the first 3 Tears era videos were all brilliant, this is nice enough but I don't think it compares.

Each to their own! I thought the Tears era videos were fine, but this new video shows they’ve got more of a budget this time around. It’s visually more interesting than Scared, less awkward than Story.

I like the video but H is serving major gurns.

That's it I'm obsessed playing this over and over! Think I prefer it to Scared of the dark but not as much Neon Blue. :wub:
