I love her so much. The chorus is absolute FIRE! Some of the lyrics in the verses are a bit awkward, cringe and quite clumsy/wordy (like Clare's "surface tension" stuff ) but it's easy to forget about them when it comes to the bridge and chorus each time :wub:

I’ve had to sit with this for a couple of days but I think I’m liking it now. It’s obviously a ballad dolled up as a dance song, but on the upside I’m looking forward to the acoustic version, unlike I was with Kylie.

I'm LOVING "What The Future Holds" at the moment. I agree that the verses are typically Sia and quite wordy/lyrically strange but I think it's refreshing for someone to release music which is unashamedly classic pop in 2020.

Ha! Yes, this is my one and only gripe with yet another excellent single. I do like the use of 'surface tension' but it is a very wordy lyric to have in the opening few lines of the song. Removing the second surface tension and instead having something like 'and if it breaks, if it breaks' would probably be catchier and more Claire :lol:

i used to really dislike it but now i’ve grown to love it + it’s one of my favourite parts of the song.

Yes the surface tension is a terrible lyric, especially used twice!
