April 19, 20214 yr Author 032 JESSIE J - DOMINO [This Rate Avg. 7.17] [Rate Winning Avg. 8.39] UJtB55MaoD0 Highest Scores: Ultra's Version, Nina West, MrAndrewMan & Tombo [10] + NickF1, Dexton, Klumzee, Juliannnial & alohomora [09] Lowest Scores: Dobbo [00] + George.keh, dandy*, blacksquare & HausofArgento [04] As mentioned earlier JESSIE J - DOMINO manages to outperform a song that beat it in it's actual rate. During 2020 we had a Jessie J vs Pixie Lott rate on the back off the hugely popular Anne-Marie vs Jess Glynne rate and as 'Cry Me Out' won the entire rate, 'Domino' (the highest Jessie J track) finished 4th! 'Domino' went on to be an absolutely massive Worldwide hit and still receives good airplay today. So radio friendly and catchy, I got tired of this as it leaked a few months before release, but it still bops. I do think she has far better though, personally. --- 031 SHAWN MENDES - IN MY BLOOD [This Rate Avg. 7.25] [Rate Winning Avg. 10.15] 36tggrpRoTI Highest Scores: Calum [11] + Tafty, MrAndrewMan & Jay [10] Lowest Scores: Dobbo [-01] + LMLou [04] Just missing out on the top 30 is SHAWN MENDES - IN MY BLOOD. This anthemic, power pop-rock ballad ended up becoming a big hit for Shawn. With comparisons to Kings of Leon - Use Somebody, it's of that same ilk. Just incredibly powerful and one of the most personal songs he's ever written. For his tour, he covered Coldplay's 'Fix You' right before and transitions right into 'In My Blood' for the ULTIMATE tour closer. I didn't even go to any of the shows but I really wanna hear this in a live setting! My favourite Shawn song and I dunno if he's going to ever top it for me! Incredible. --- 030 FOXES - BODY TALK [This Rate Avg. 7.28] [Rate Winning Avg. 10.16] VAerYplzZUE Highest Scores: George.keh [11] + Ultra's Version, NickF1 & Cameron [10] Lowest Scores: Tombo [02] + LMLou [03.5] Kicking off the top 30 is FOXES - BODY TALK. A song that I really think might have been 5 years ahead of it's time, which is odd to say about a song that was clearly influenced by the sound of the 80's. Such a euphoric 80's synth heavy track that wouldn't sound out of place in todays chart climate imo. It's the precursor to The Weeknd's 'Blinding Lights'! Great song that deserved better, not only in this rate but in the official charts too. The average it won it's rate with though *.* Incredible. Anthemic and euphoric! Amazing stuff.
April 19, 20214 yr In what world is Body Talk a 2!!!!!!!! Robbed!!!! But for someone with a smaller fan base than some of the other artists here- and a much lower peak than others- i’m glad it’s at least made top 30!

A huge fan of Troye, but this really isn't one of my favourites by him and I think it might actually be my least favourite single from him. But, this song definitely has a large amount of supporters. A plethora of 10's manages to secure him a top 30 placing here. 'My My My!' kicks off live though. I think I actually prefer it live than I do studio version. The studio version kinda leaves me feeling a bit cold and empty despite a large chorus. It's strange. --- 028 SELENA GOMEZ FEAT. A$AP ROCKY - GOOD FOR YOU [This Rate Avg. 7.41] [Rate Winning Avg. 9.24] DXKHCgNFk1I Highest Scores: blacksquare [10] + George.keh & Tafty [09.5] Lowest Scores: Dexton & dandy* [05] + alohomora & Riser [05.5] SELENA GOMEZ FEAT. A$AP ROCKY - GOOD FOR YOU is the next to leave us at #28. This brooding, sultry R&B number was a huge shift in sound for Selena and it worked to her favour. She utilises her vocals really well on tracks like this, 'The Heart Wants What It Wants' & 'Hands to Myself'. The production is so smooth and slick and there's a reason why the album that this is from, is largely considered to be her greatest album to date. --- 027 TINASHE FEAT. SCHOOLBOY Q - 2 ON [This Rate Avg. 7.16] [Rate Winning Avg. 9.5] -s7TCuCpB5c Highest Scores: Dobbo & Tafty [11] + NickF1, ...ready for it, Cameron, alohomora & HausofArgento [10] Lowest Scores: Tombo & Viper* [01] + LMLou [04] Time for a personal fave of mine next, TINASHE FEAT. SCHOOLBOY Q - 2 ON ends up at number 27. This gritty, R&B, club banger propelled Tinashe into the limelight and got people to notice her. It was quite a big hit in the US and it's easy to see why. The production is fantastic. Her vocal delivery is slick. The perfect song that would POP OFF in a club. I feel like she's topped this track several times, but MY GOD this is an all timer for me. Wish it was higher, but R&B females never do TOO well in these things. They tend to have one or two huge supporters, but nothing else really! A shame coz Tinashe is an artist who really should be one of the main girls in music rn. A performer. An artist. A talented woman. LOVE HER. She killlllls it live too!
April 19, 20214 yr All the songs I didn't rate because I didn't know or couldn't remember are already out, so I guess I wasn't missing much ^_^
April 19, 20214 yr Author 026 CELINE DION - IT'S ALL COMING BACK TO ME NOW [This Rate Avg. 7.56] [Rate Winning Avg. 9.94] j8fHNdrZTSI Highest Scores: Feel the Fever [11] + George.keh, Cameron, X leww X, Klumzee, Nina West, Tafty, alohomora, JosephStyles, Jay & Calum [10] Lowest Scores: Dobbo [00] + dandy* [02] CELINE DION - IT'S ALL COMING BACK TO ME NOW is up next. This song actually tied with 'My Heart Will Go On' in Celine's rate and couldn't be separated by the amount of 11's, 10's, 9's etc..! But, unfortunately for this, it lost to it and places lower :( One of the most definitive power ballads you will ever hear, imo. Absolutely outstanding. Celine's vocals are out of this world! This seemed to get quite a few scores dragging it's average down which is a shame. One of the absolute best cover songs of all time, imo. It sends chills down my spine every time! --- 025 CLEAN BANDIT - RATHER BE (FEAT. JESS GLYNNE) [This Rate Avg. 7.66] [Rate Winning Avg. 9.04] m-M1AtrxztU Highest Scores: Nina West & Eduardo [11] + NickF1, dandy*, Jade & LMLou [10] Lowest Scores: AaronTM, Feel the Fever & JosephStyles [04] + Jay & Tombo [05] Into the top 25 we go and we lose CLEAN BANDIT - RATHER BE (FEAT. JESS GLYNNE), which won the Jess Glynne vs Anne-Marie rate... but just like the Jessie J vs Pixie Lott rate... the actual winner loses out to the highest track of their foes in that battle as Anne-Marie's entry is still to come... but what's more interesting is that this is the first of THREE appearances by Clean Bandit, despite them not getting a singles rate for this! LMAO. 'Rather Be' is one of the more tolerable songs from Jess. It was a huge hit for Clean Bandit and Jess. --- 024 ALEXANDRA BURKE - ALL NIGHT LONG (FEAT. PITBULL) [This Rate Avg. 7.77] [Rate Winning Avg. 9.40] Ymx6CQTtFSI Highest Scores: HausofArgento [11] + Tafty, MrAndrewMan & Tombo [10] Lowest Scores: SevenSeize & Jade [04] + dandy* [05] At number 24 we have ALEXANDRA BURKE - ALL NIGHT LONG (FEAT. PITBULL). Whether its in this form or it's original form, this is a wall-to-wall BANGER. Instant highlight from the debut album right from the first listen to me. It reminded me a lot of Michelle Williams - We Break the Dawn. Thankfully though, this actually became the hit WBTD should've been. Getting Pitbull on a single remix of this track proved to be a smart move for Alexandra as it was right at the cusp of Pitbull breaking out into a mainstream star. Insanely catchy and will forever be my favourite Alexandra single/song. Amazing.
April 19, 20214 yr Agree with My My My being fabulous live. It’s All Coming Back To Me Now does no way near deserve to be that low- I find it much better than the hugely overrated My Heart Will Go On but hey ho!
April 19, 20214 yr Author 023 CELINE DION - MY HEART WILL GO ON [This Rate Avg. 7.80] [Rate Winning Avg. 9.94] 3gK_2XdjOdY Highest Scores: Ultra's Version, ...ready for it, Cameron, Klumzee, Tafty, alohomora & MrAndrewMan [10] + Dexton, JosephStyles, Jay & Calum [09.5] Lowest Scores: George.keh [-01] + dandy* [00] Up next we have the CLASSIC movie song CELINE DION - MY HEART WILL GO ON. One of, if not THE, most iconic movie songs of all time. When you're asked to name a song from a movie I'm pretty confident you'd probably go to this almost instantly, whether you're a fan or not. That SOARING final chorus is one of the very best moments in music history imo. Chills every time. Whenever I hear the song, it just makes me want to watch the movie again. Incredible and iconic song. It tied with 'It's All Coming Back to Me Now' in the Celine rate to get a place in this, but it triumphs over it (slightly!) and manages to edge it out in this rate! --- 022 JUSTIN BIEBER - SORRY [This Rate Avg. 7.82] [Rate Winning Avg. 9.61] fRh_vgS2dFE Highest Scores: JosephStyles [11] + Dexton, HausofArgento, Jay, Calum & Eduardo [10] Lowest Scores: Viper* [-01] + Cameron [02] Up next at #22 we have JUSTIN BIEBER - SORRY. This was a huge career defining hit for Justin. This was more than just your generic "tropical pop" that was around at the same time. This seemed to advance that sound and become a huge reinvention of that sound. He was on a roll with this era and 'Sorry' was definitely peak Bieber. A song that everyone (even haters) seemed to love and it's easy to see why. Very catchy and is guaranteed to get lodged in your head. Banger! Even today with the overplay! --- 021 5 SECONDS OF SUMMER - YOUNGBLOOD [This Rate Avg. 7.83] [Rate Winning Avg. 9.93] -RJSbO8UZVY Highest Scores: NickF1, Dobbo & Jay [10] + MrAndrewMan & Tombo [09.5] Lowest Scores: dandy* [04.5] + ...ready for it, blacksquare, Feel the Fever & Juliannnial [06] Just missing out on the top 20 is 5 SECONDS OF SUMMER - YOUNGBLOOD. A slight switch up in sound for them but still quintessential 5SOS. 'Youngblood' gives them that edgier and harder sound without coming across as too try hard. It kind of reminds me of something One Direction would return and smash with at a similar time. Very good song and so much more than just your average, formulaic pop-rock track that they were known to do before this. A switch up in sound that also seemed to work for them as this went on to be a big hit for them. Just missing the top 20 in this rate though... I'd consider that a major success for 5SOS tbh.

SEAN PAUL & ANNE-MARIE). This is in the rate as it was the highest place Anne-Marie track in the Anne-Marie vs Jess Glynne rate and it actually manages to best the winner of that rate here! 'Rockabye' finished 2nd behind 'Rather Be' but manages to outperform it in this rate. It's a bop. I'm kinda bored of it now and find it a tad repetitive and overplayed, but it's a great song. This is the 2nd of 3 entries for Clean Bandit as 'Symphony' is still to come... --- 019 CHRISTINA AGUILERA - FIGHTER [This Rate Avg. 7.96] [Rate Winning Avg. 9.63] PstrAfoMKlc Highest Scores: Ultra's Version, Chapman, AaronTM, Nina West, Tafty, Mr Andrew Man & Tombo [10] + alohomora & Riser [09.5] Lowest Scores: HausofArgento [00] + Calum [04] CHRISTINA AGUILERA - FIGHTER is up next. An empowering and powerful song that was a big hit for Xtina back in 2003! Anthemic chorus and a song that goes harder than usual for a pop-rock track of a similar ilk. It's quite surprising to see that it managed to bet out the more remembered Xtina classics like 'Genie In A Bottle', 'Dirrty' and 'Beautiful', but at the same time, it's easy to see why it has become a bit of a cult classic itself in the pop genre. Such a great song. Gets me SO hyped up.

The song that scored the girls their 2nd UK top 10 hit and first number 1. 'Whole Again' was a MASSIVE hit. Pretty sure it's still a radio staple even today on the likes of heart FM etc.. It was actually monstrous and you would have a hard time trying to escape it. Chart wise it seemed to hit all the major markets except from the US. I was sure this went top 10 over there? Lol (as in one time top 10 and got nowhere else ever again) but a quick look at Wiki seems to say that wasn't the case lmao. It's a good song. I've never loved it, but I've definitely grown fonder of it the older I have gotten. --- 017 NICOLE SCHERZINGER - DON'T HOLD YOUR BREATH [This Rate Avg. 8.12] [Rate Winning Avg. 9.85] z4nKOzk8qbw Highest Scores: NickF1 [11] + George.keh, AaronTM, Jay, Tombo & Calum [10] Lowest Scores: Jade [05] + blacksquare, Chez Wombat & Eduardo [06] NICOLE SCHERZINGER - DON'T HOLD YOUR BREATH is the 2nd solo single from the lead singer of The Pussycat Dolls. It went on to be a big number 1 for her after it followed up the incredible 'Poison'. Unlike 'Poison' though, she decided to take it down a notch and give us a mid-tempo, dance-floor, heartbreak anthem. The production is stellar and really classy. The chorus packs the perfect punch! A great, underrated gem. I feel like it doesn't quite get the recognition it deserves anymore.
April 20, 20214 yr Up next is TROYE SIVAN - MY MY MY!. A huge fan of Troye, but this really isn't one of my favourites by him and I think it might actually be my least favourite single from him. The studio version kinda leaves me feeling a bit cold and empty despite a large chorus. It's strange. Yes, you are strange xxx But maybe you've redeemed yourself because you posted the video again in place of My Heart Will Go On - get that promo, Troye!! It's All Coming Back to Me Now being that low down is rude... <_< One of the most epic songs ever recorded. Don't Hold Your Breath :cheeseblock: What a huge sounding song and deserved #1 hit. As if this was 10 years ago already!
April 20, 20214 yr I think 'My My My!' is my least favourite Troye single as well (although there are a few I don't think I have heard) x
April 20, 20214 yr I think 'My My My!' is my least favourite Troye single as well (although there are a few I don't think I have heard) x You've officially lost your title as being the biggest Troye fan :o Joseph has snatched it back from you
April 20, 20214 yr I never claimed to be the biggest Troye fan, only the original Troye fan, which Joseph can never steal ^_^

The single that elevated (lol) The Sats into a girl group to be reckoned with! After 'If This Is Love' was a middling-good success for them, 'Up' became the hit that they absolutely needed. Thankfully they remixed it and the single version brought it to life because idk if anyone has heard or remembers the album version... it's so dull and lifeless! Definitely benefited from being spruced up. A good (if slightly overrated) song! I feel like they've topped it several times (both singles and album tracks) since. --- 015 TAYLOR SWIFT - I KNEW YOU WERE TROUBLE [This Rate Avg. 8.37] [Rate Winning Avg. 9.31] vNoKguSdy4Y Highest Scores: Ultra's Version & ...ready for it [11] + Klumzee, Nina West, Jade, Tombo, Eduardo & Viper* [10] Lowest Scores: AaronTM & HausofArgento [04] + SevenSeize & dandy* [06] At number 15 we have TAYLOR SWIFT - I KNEW YOU WERE TROUBLE which was a MAJOR shift in sound (even in comparison to her more poppier efforts beforehand) for Taylor and completed her transformation from Country-Pop Darling to Pop Superstar. This has really become a Taylor staple for many and it's easy to see why. It somehow, despite using a very early-mid 00's sound, still feels very fresh and different for her. Such a banger! DAMN THAT PESKY GOAT THO :arrr:
