April 19, 20214 yr I had absolutely no idea what was and wasn't playlisted so just went with the most recent #1 which definitely wouldn't have been! Clearly Moves Like Jagger was a big one to stick in people's minds but I don't think I was even aware the charts existed when that song came out.
April 19, 20214 yr Had no clue on that one - was hoping Gooba would pick up some points as was a Top 10 hit and wasn't even played on the chart show

Points were shared around as several other headliners of the last decade came up, of whom only Beyoncé was scoreless. Dolly and Kylie didn’t headline, but my "no incorrect answers" rule means the latter brings up a point.
April 19, 20214 yr Originally put Stormzy then changed my mind on the basis that Coldplay have headlined 3 times. Still happy with the score on that one.
April 19, 20214 yr Oops dropped the ball on that one, didn't even consider Stormzy - I just associate Glasto with rock and indie artists!
April 19, 20214 yr Yay Stormzy *.* recency definitely helped and the news coverage of him being the first black solo British artist to do so
April 19, 20214 yr Author Q1. Our Last Summer | LiamSime She's My Kind Of Girl | Riser Slipping Through My Fingers | paulgilb Gold: Greatest Hits may be fast closing in on 1,000 weeks in the Top 100 album chart, but which of their songs weren’t quite gold or enough of a hit to make the cut? The top answer, and it seems an obvious one now, was their only remaining song to make even the Top 20, coming bang in the middle of a run of 15 consecutive Top 5 hits. Tellingly, its #5 peak was the lowest of this run, befitting that it perhaps wasn’t one of their more memorable hits - still, several of you remembered to choose it. Points were hard to come by elsewhere - the Mamma Mia films perhaps informed quite a few choices, and my personal favourite of this category, The Day Before You Came, earned a point, although my own answer didn’t. We’re still in single figure top answer scores, with three of the twelve left!
April 19, 20214 yr Oh I dropped the ball there oops! 'Adante, Adante' stood out to me in Mamma Mia 2 from the songs I wasn't über familiar with and was in the recent Only Connect quiz
April 19, 20214 yr 'The Day Before You Came' is one of my favourite Abba songs but I knew it wouldn't be anywhere near the top answer.
April 19, 20214 yr I didn't think of just picking the highest charting single. I remember The Day Before You Came coming third in an ITV poll of favourite Abba songs so I picked it (and it's also my favourite song of theirs).
April 19, 20214 yr Author Q8. A song where some of the lyrics have often been misheard Answers given 14 | Scoring 2 | Top score 12 e-ORhEE9VVg 12 points Taylor Swift - Blank Space | paulgilb, dan::G, Dobbo, JulianT, xajnipi, n4yr, Riser, ...ready for it, Bjork, West, Jade, Bré, LewisGT 1 point Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody | Mango, King Rollo 0 points AJ Tracey - Ladbroke Grove | awardinary Ariana Grande - thank u, next | LiamSime Billy Ocean - When The Going Gets Tough | Mack. I was aware of the “Starbucks lovers” notoriety, but I’d never thought that line (“Got a long list of ex-lovers”) sounded like that myself, it doesn’t exactly scan. Nonetheless, only one other answer - Bohemian Rhapsody, which pops up for a third time tonight - scores as much as a point! I think I know how most of the misheard versions of these lyrics go - some real gems there. Two of the twelve left to reveal...
April 19, 20214 yr Author Q2. A song with whistling in it Answers given 9 | Scoring 3 | Top score 14 cSnkWzZ7ZAA 14 points Flo Rida - Whistle | Ansel, LiamSime, dan::G, Dobbo, PeteFromLeeds, xajnipi, Mango, n4yr, Riser, chrissmith276, West, coi, Bré, LewisGT, Kath 3 points Scorpions - Wind Of Change | jimwatts, JulianT, garyfeld, King Rollo 1 point Otis Redding - (Sittin' On) The Dock Of The Bay | paulgilb, ...ready for it 0 points Bobby McFerrin - Don't Worry Be Happy | Bjork Bruno Mars - The Lazy Song | Jade DJ Alligator - The Whistle Song | vibe Foster The People - Pumped Up Kicks | awardinary Klaxons - Golden Skans | Mack. Mike + The Mechanics - Over My Shoulder | rio309 The penultimate top answer to be revealed is the first to be given by the majority of entrants - anyone who put less than 14 for their answer to Q13 is now out of the running for the bonus! It’s another one I should have seen coming - I’d forgotten the Flo Rida song had as many as 9 weeks in the Top 10! It even inspired one of the funniest artist names for a fake version which also went Top 40. The other two points scorers are maybe a little more established in classic territory. One more top answer to reveal, for Q12... but what will it be? And how much will it score??
April 19, 20214 yr I'd completely forgotten about Starbucks Lovers  But YESSS at getting 14 points for 'Whistle' :D Edited April 19, 20214 yr by Mangø
April 19, 20214 yr Oh no - I had thought of Blank Space when I initially looked at the questions then I went blank when submitting haha Yay for Whistle though!
April 19, 20214 yr I don't know that Flo Rida song. I was expecting that to be between Wind Of Change and Jealous Guy by Roxy Music but I see the latter was chosen by no one.
