They could attempt to repackage Gold maybe?

I just realised it's the 20th Anniversary this year, so since they're doing What The Future Holds pt II I doubt they'll do that.

Not a bad idea. A 2CD set.

CD1 - Gold

CD2 - 2017 singles on which is currently at 8, ad say another one or two from the new album that’s 10. 2-4 new songs to round it off.

I think that’d work well.

A similar style DVD would be great but we have all their videos on YouTube so a DVD may be pointless.

Yes that could also really work.

Maybe Tour DVD'S.

I would have the following track list

1) Scared of the Dark

2) New song

3) What The Future Holds

4) Something In Your Eyes

5) Heartbreak in The City

6) song from 2021 album

7) Story of a Heart

8) Neon Blue

9) Dancing With A Broken Heart

10) song from 2021 album

11) new song

12) new song

13) To The Beat of my heart

14) Light up the world

They've already got two GH plus other 'collection' albums so I feel it is a bit unnecessary.

Maybe it could work for 25th anniversary like some have said.

I'd like a new GH to at least have 3 or 4 new tracks though as most fans would already know all the rest.

It would be nice to even have one song like light up the world as others have listed on a new greatest hits to acknowledge the album was released and some fans did support it.

I meant in n general its good people have a song from that time as if there was nothing, if such a release happened, it would pretty much be washing over the release.
I like both and its likely you are right as last thing on my mind was what cemented they were not a one hit wonder and it also represented there fast growing popularity and awareness. Id remove better the devil you know ahead of say youll be mine or last thing on my mind.

If it were up to me BTDYK wouldn't be on there either but they clearly love that song it always gets performed... Say you'll be mine on the other hand doesn't so that would probably be off the tracklisting.

I do like their version of better the devil you know but Kylies original is just iconic for me and it wasnt a song i wanted to see get covered by Steps, i think there were other songs i would have preferred like album tracks but i do try and separate them and when i do i enjoy their version for what it is, say you'll be mine i love myself but it doesn't get performed as much like you said.
I think their version of 'Better The Devil You Know' is a complete bast*rdisation (although I did strangely enjoy it live when I saw them in 2017, a lot more than the recorded version).
I heard Steps’ version of Better the Devil You Know before I’d even heard of Kylie. So even though I went on to love Kylie’s original and while I do appreciate that it’s superior, I still have love for Steps’ version... and honestly, a part of me can’t help but feel like Steps is the “original” version of the song, due to loving their version first & listening to it repeatedly! 🤭
I only roughly knew Kylie’s version before Steps did their cover and whilst I’d choose the Steps version 9 times out of 10 Kylie’s is fantastic as well.

I knew Kylie's Version before Steps covered it but Honestly, I wouldn't call either of them worse than the other. They're both different is all.

Now, Chain Reaction on the other hand, Steps version is far superior to the original in my opinion.

Steps cover of Chain Reaction is sensational. I don’t mind the original but for me it’s Steps version every single time.

I agree, with chain reaction and tragedy I prefer their versions by far to the original while also loving the originals. I also like the bananarama version of last thing on my mind but the steps version is better as it has more oomph.

I think I’d go with the following as a new GH in September 2022 ahead of the 25th Anniversary tour:

01 Scared Of The Dark

02 One For Sorrow

03 Something In Your Eyes

04 It’s The Way You Make Me Feel

05 What The Future Holds

06 Deeper Shade Of Blue

07 Heartbreak In This City

08 Stomp

09 Chain Reaction

10 Summer Of Love

11 5,6,7,8

12 Love’s Got A Hold On My Heart

13 Better Best Forgotten

14 Neon Blue

15 Better The Devil You Know

16 Last Thing On My Mind

17 *Follow up to HITC*

18 *New Track*

19 Heartbeat

20 Tragedy

I knew Kylie's Version before Steps covered it but Honestly, I wouldn't call either of them worse than the other. They're both different is all.

Nooooo I love Diana's version!! Their cover of Tragedy is the best one! Also LTOMM is vastly superior to Bananarama's.

I much prefer Steps version of Better the Devil. I heard it first and when I first heard Kylie's I thought it sounded odd and old fashioned with the older production.

Now I do like both versions but Steps is my fave.
