May 10, 20214 yr About as I expected for Rag! Interested to see how far away Michael Ball is. Hopefully Squid can stay at least top 10 as well!
May 10, 20214 yr Rag’N’Bone Man is on course for a second No.1 album. Following his breakthrough success with 2017’s Human (Columbia), Rag’N’Bone Man is leading the chart race this week with follow-up album Life By Misadventure. The former Music Week cover star is already on 29,244 sales in the latest Midweek sales flash for the first three days’ chart sales. The album has racked up 23,782 physical sales. The LP release for Rag’N’Bone Man coincides with a BRITs performance with Pink on Tuesday (May 11). In another busy week for new entries in the Top 10, Michael Ball is at No.2 with We Are More Than One (Decca) on 9,858 sales and Dodie is at No.3 with Build A Problem (Doddleoddle/Sony) on 7,717. Indie label Warp is set for a Top 5 entry with Squid’s debut album, Bright Green Field, which is at No.4 in the Midweeks (5,868 sales). Other new entries include Van Morrison’s Latest Record Project – Vol 1 (BMG) at No.5 (5,054 sales), New Order’s live album Education, Entertainment, Recreation (Rhino) at No.7 (2,127) and Weezer’s Van Weezer at No.10 (1,817). Despite the rash of new releases, Dua Lipa’s Future Nostalgia is so far the most streamed album of the week and is set for another week in the Top.10. Dua Lipa is also performing at the BRITs. On the singles chart, Body by Tion Wayne and Russ Millions is comfortably ahead at No.1, based on the Midweek sales flash. The single is on 24,624 sales and on track for a second week at the summit. May 10, 20214 yr Can Coldplay stay top10 after tomorrow I wonder? They may well drop out by tomorrow but after the Brits performance they should get back in, they might even have a shot at top 5, gotta wait and see.
May 10, 20214 yr Hope Dodie can keep that No.3! Gorgeous album. Another very busy week for new releases, I expected her to come in at No.4 below Van Morrison but I guess that still might happen.
May 10, 20214 yr Ella and Tom have had so many midweeks number 9 but can never manage to grab it in the end, Pink probably has little chance of staying top 40 now with All I Know so far
May 10, 20214 yr If that HILARIOUSLY AWFUL Van Morrison album goes top 3, I'm done with society. Stunningly it's radio 2's album of the week, so that will boost it's sales no doubt
May 10, 20214 yr 8 is good today for Coldplay, in my head i was like if they stay top 10 today they should manage it on Friday as they will have a good boost ahead.
May 10, 20214 yr Stunningly it's radio 2's album of the week, so that will boost it's sales no doubt What the hell! They could've chosen Rag'n'Bone Man
May 10, 20214 yr Author Amazing for Squid already, especially if they can stick in the top 5! Surf Curse coming for a charting hit *.*
May 10, 20214 yr Bebe and Aly & AJ not top 100 with their really great albums not being Top 100 isn't surprising but is disappointing :(.
May 10, 20214 yr Fingers crossed this will be the week for Fred again.. to make the top 40! Slightly underwhelming sales for Rag'n'Bone Man's album really, still pretty good by 2021 standards in general but going to be an absolutely enormous drop from the first album, I guess he hasn't had a hit as ubiquitous as 'Human' this time to sell it but I thought he might still do around 50k again regardless (having said that the BRIT Awards may yet push him to a more respectable opening tally). Great to see Squid as high as #4, looks like their sales numbers are high enough already that they should be able to remain in the top 5 if not staying #4 all week. I know they'll fall heavily by the end of the week but interesting that Weezer are all the way as high as #10 with their new album, after their previous album just a couple of months ago only barely scraped a top 100 with a staggered physical release!

Probably because it's been out on pre-order for about 2 years now! For the Hella Mega Tour, ticket bundles came with pre-orders for either Green Day's Father of All, Fall Out Boy's second GH album or Van Weezer.

Oh yeah I know that this one has been built up to for a bit longer (it was meant to be out before 'OK Human' but got delayed lol), did not realise it had been THAT long though.
