Can't wait for Dan Wootton to report that Spice Girls' new music flopped.

Can't wait for Dan Wootton to report that Spice Girls' new music flopped.

Can’t wait for him and the other scums in the trashy press to disappear. He’s awful.

By the way, what we know so far about FYL? Demo version or auto tuned and reworked?

Dan Wooton is absolute scum and the fact they gave him so much power over their reunion in 2018/2019 is quite bad to be honest. Hopefully now he has ascended to director of that newspaper and is with that fascist GB News channel, they wont touch him?... URGH

Feed Your Love has been announced as a demo, so dont expect a rework at all, maybe just a mastering for the actual vinyl, but it is in no-way near 'polished' or 'finished' im afraid...

I would imagine it is the same thing with the rest of their demos and if they release them, that is what it will be.

I think demos to be released in this context are fine to be as they are. They are meant to be released this year as an illustration of the past, not 'something totally new' to be consumed in that way.

So it makes sense to me to release them as demos. It also prevents the fans and press jumping on them with criticisms/reviews that reflects them as a whole now.

Hes no longer with The Sun working at GB News now.

Maybe it's just me, but at this current moment I'm not feeling like there's much hype for this Wannabe anniversary, from the public at least. There's still two weeks to go, of course, but I don't know. It's hard to put my finger on it, I just thought this would feel like a much bigger event in general than it does so far.

I am excited to hear the demo, and to receive the physicals, don't get me wrong. I think it's just stuff like #IAmASpiceGirl which isn't hitting the mark for me. I want to see content from the Spice Girls themselves, not random fan photos from over the years. I hope this is just the calm before the storm, and we'll end up getting some recorded messages from the girls at the very least.

Maybe I'm being OTT

Vicky B doesn’t give a toss. She won’t post anything. She only did it with the tee because it was a collaboration Vicky X The Spice Girls. Geri will post a story, maybe a pic saying something basic like “it’s not about us, it’s about everyone, everyone is welcome”. Mel B will announce a tour that won’t happen. Emma and Mel C will do their best as always but no one’s gonna care as their post reach is too low compared to Vicky B.

That’s the Spice Girls. But I still love them and support them no matter what. Lazy cows 🐮

I think it's fine. It is obviously a fan-service that is happening. To be honest, there has been quite a bit of press about it and my expectations were low. However, some nice press as come as a result and the vinyl seemed to be everywhere the week it was announced.

Sure, they could be doing much more and more continuously but it is clear the big effort will be with Spice, which makes more sense to me, to be fair.

The #ImASpiceGirl campaign can choke though. It's a waste of time and has done very little. Like, their social media game is pretty poor in general and they barely get much traction unfortunately. Like, how is their instagram *still* at 600k since 2018? Or their twitter still at 100k?!...

Melanie C saying the other day 'from the 8th you can 'stream stuff' and some of them have pointed towards 'a few things happening soon' which makes me a bit more relaxed at what is happening throughout the year.

We know we will get a special Spice celebration and a tour announcement at some point this year. We hope there will be a few more things (I am DREAMING of a Say You'll Be There and 2 Become 1 re-release personally!)

Also, Abbey Road studios posted this and I think it is LOVELY! It sounds like the vinyl was remastered - which might give us another clue from that Kate Moross website post too.

Cute that they used a 4-piece picture as that was the first time the girls recorded in those studios, I think!

Their effort is almost close to zero lol. Apart from that short tour in their home, they have zero new output for other fans or general public. To gain old fans back or new fans, it takes greater effort. Nice to hear there will be more touring. :cheer:
The thing that creates proper buzz is the girls actually together for something. It's not looking massively likely they will do that though so if it's not successful that's on them.
At the current rate of infections in the UK, I very much doubt that they will do much in November where we might be in a winter lockdown anyway...

The Wannabe 25 vinyl is for die hard fans. I can't see many casual fans getting excited for it. Especially since UMG haven't done much towards promoting it for casuals. They haven't released an official snippet of the Wannabe demo. I find it bizarre they are not marketing it as the version in the Spice World movie.

Feed Your Love has received some headlines in terms of the girls releasing a "new" song. Though, they still haven't released any official snippets other than the 8 second preview on Instagram and Twitter. Maybe more promo is coming next week? I hope so.

I loved this too

Spotify are asking for which spice you wanted to be as a pop up as you open it. I'm expecting curated play lists depending on which Spice you pick come the anniversary.
