No plans for a SYBT release as far as I'm aware. Last I heard they were going to release a video for Feed your love the day the physical Wannabe25 drops but who knows if they will bother. Fans haven't exactly got behind it.

Really annoying that they haven't planned anything for the other singles, even if it would come with diminished impact with each release - it's basically their catalogue besides Wannabe that needs special attention either way.

The Lazy Girls

Well when you see the effort/mess Wannabe has been then I'm not sure they would feel it's worth it. I mean I guess there is nothing to stop them doing a digital only release but that might take away from Spice 25 if it's another demo or unreleased song on a digital EP.

I'd rather they put full effort into Spice and getting that right I mean the Wannabe physical is coming 7 weeks after the actual anniversary.

Sybt anniversary might be a good time to launch Spice 25 and a pre-order and formats.

Yesterday (21st July) marked 25 years since Wannabe climbed to #1 in the UK chart!

So realistically, we have this as the best case scenario right?

- Spice 25 Anniversary celebrations and marketing & PR machine in gear

- Re-release of Spice album with possible inclusion of demos

- Announcement of tour for 2022

From those what do we think we will get? Some new merch maybe?

Spice will have Likely Stories and a couple more demos? Maybe some of the demos from the original songs too? That If You Cant Dance demo deserves to be heard in high quality to be honest

I think they will probably partner with some brand again for the celebrations and some strategic articles will be written in music-related publications. That will be cute!

I have high hopes for the tour, really. They can finally go on a proper world tour. IMAGINE! I can see them going China, Japan, Australia, Brazil, Buenos Aires, NYC and LA. Probably also Toronto again and return to the UK in 2023 and do a residency at Wembley.

I know I am dreaming but honestly, that would be my favourite case scenario. I know what we will get instead though (a tweet and a re-release of Spice with only a new set of 5 individual girl covers :P )..

The most realistic scenario is somewhere in the above too. Just not too sure about such an extensive world tour to be honest. They will probably just do UK - USA - AUS and call it a World Tour and then call it a day again lol

I would love for all of that to come true!

If a Spice album re-release is handled in the exact same way as Wannabe (i.e. not that much effort from the girls) that’ll be a bit disappointing. They’re so allergic to promo!

Most anniversary deluxe editions from artists don't get much promo outside of social media. These type of releases are targeted towards die hard fans. I'm not gonna expect much promo from the girls themselves
Sporify is advertising them as of today with a Spice Battle Eoyale between all of their songs, with 2 Become 1 set up against Spice Up Your Life in the first round xD

This is kinda my thought about a world tour too. Obviously, I'd love it if they did a big tour...both because I'd love to see them again...and to build up their reputation as an act that puts on a fun live show. Plus, Emma and Mel C only seem to get better as live performers as the years go on.

But. Beats me if that'll manage to be in the cards. To me, only Mel C seems truly built for a massive world tour. Mel B and Emma are both total stars and are fab on stage...but I don't know they have the sort of attention span for a long tour. I'll preface anything about Geri by saying...I'm about as big a defender of her solo music career as they come. But. I feel like every time she's feeling uncertain or lacking confidence, you can really read it on her. I don't really mean to psychoanalyse a person I don't know at all, but my guess is all these years of criticism of her voice and dancing has made her self conscious and stilted in her performing. I'm not sure she can still let loose and just have fun on stage. Can someone like that be convinced to do an extensive world tour?

Yeah Geri is the wild card on tour this time again, just like in 1998. BUT I trully feel at least a bit hopeful that they will go beyond UK-USA this time.

They really should do a couple of stadiums in Europe and Australia. Brazil and China are also quite big priorities as they were always successful there.

I they they wont need to do like 49 shows. If they do stadiums, they can be a bit strategic about it and do like 20 shows, and get more money in a shorter space of time. Arena tours take a long time to build and make money from. Like, they did roughly the same amount in 2008 with 41 USA shows as they did with the 13 Stadium shows in the UK. That is almost 4 times the amount of shows :o

It takes a lot from you to tour. I work in theatre and just doing UK tours of like 20 shows is exhausting. You are constantly traveling with all your life around you plus your luggage. You go from train to taxi to hotel to venue. You perform a show at high energy, only to go back to hotel, sleep and do it all over again the next morning. If you dont feel super confident, I can see how a world tour can be quite daunging.

It is quite interesting the story of the Spice Girls tours. They always have some issues going on around their tours.

Spiceworld 1998: Ginger leaves.

Christmas in Spiceworld 1999: Melanie C pretty much did not want to be there

Return of the Spice Girls Tour 2008: Mel B decides to call off the tour due to exhaustion and trauma (as confirmed by herself in her book). Victoria is done with performing forever.

Rumoured 2014-2016 4-piece no Vicky tour: Only rumoured. Then GEM is announced and flops so hard they dont even get to finish a single song.

Spice World Tour 2019: No Victoria.

For a girlband with such a great track record of touring, they always have DRAMA going on hey?!...

I don't see Geri doing a huge world tour. It's easier for the girls to stick to the UK and USA. There is a ton of money on the table to make from touring. Especially in markets they haven't been to since 1998.

Japan

Germany

France

Brazil

Australia

South Korea

China

Canada

Are all countries they should tour, but we know they wont. Maybe in 5-10 years they will do a farewell tour and go to the countries they normally don't go to.

Feed Your Love 361,618

Wannabe (Demo) 58,547

Yikes at the Wannabe demo numbers. They should have tagged it as the Spice World movie version. It probably would get more streams that way. Oh well

Who knows if the label will bother releasing more demos with such abysmal figures. Clearly, the interest is quite low...

I'm not sure what people expect from Wannabe Demo? It's fine to listen to once but it's obviously not a patch on the actual finished Wannabe.

Feed your love is doing well, it's not getting any proper promotion or playlisting. It will get another boost come physical release week (and it will be over 500k then anyway) and then again come Spice re-release which I'm assuming it will be on.

Don't get your hopes up on the tour, egos, solo projects, schedules, kids are meaning it's moving nowhere right now in terms of locking in actual dates. Honestly they are useless.
I think they all need to remember that the Spice Girls is why they are where they are rosay. It is the biggest girl band EVER, except maybe for the Nadrew Sisters and Supremes, ans they have a responsibility to do as much with that as they can. As it stands, they sold 80 million and the Beatles sold 500 million. They should have tried to close that gap.

When it's left to them to sort it all goes pear shaped as they don't have one unified vision anymore. It's 4 different visions, priorities and ultimately lack of ambition.

The 2019 tour came about as they were offered Wembley and it grew from there. They were told a date and tied to it, they couldn't barter or demand another date. The rest of the tour dates had to be before Wembley too as it had to be the pinnacle of the tour.

They need something like that again (maybe Glastonbury) where the date is set and they have to work around it than the other way were the 4 of them try to work a tour around their other things which as you can imagine gets them nowhere.

58,000 streams for the Wannabe demo is downright terrible. It makes me wonder if 90% of Feed Your Love streams are from die hard fans. Which means Feed Your Love streams are going to come to a halt after its shine wears off with the fans in a few more weeks.

I have doubts we will get the Say You'll Be There demo with Mel B's rap now.

FYL was always the focus really not the demo. Feed Your Love will be over 400k in a couple of weeks.
