I just received an email saying that the Wannabe 25 Slipmat is cancelled as it was listed by mistake....

It's weird, because in their promotional video on social media, from the other day, it included the Wannabe slipmat in it:

Yeah I keep wondering if they will at all release some more merch. This is definitely very little (and terrible) merch so I hope with the new deal it is improved somehow. The Placemats were actually a nice addition, but them jumpers and mug... no thanks!!

Townsend is selling a bundle of the 5 individual vinyl for £95. Royal Mail 24 postage costs £9, so that's £104 overall.

 

It was actually cheaper to buy them from the official store (£89.95 for the 5, + £6.95 postage = £96.90) but all of them apart from Mel B's vinyl are currently showing as sold out. So it is possibly the case that Townsend is currently the cheapest place to buy them all.

HMV = £114.95

Probably because of stock issues? Vinyl is very difficult to get made in a quick turn around - it takes months to sort out. Plus, they probably want to make sure the rest of the stock that is availabile at HMV, Amazon and Townsend, Sound of Vinyl etc gets bought first?

I’m sure this is because it never showed up as a new release on their streaming platforms. It had its release date set to 1996 which buried it in their singles section while automatically making Wannabe 25 the “latest release” again. A rookie error from their team, for sure.

It also got released when Spotify was having problems with updating it's figures and didn't do an update for 4 days, I'm pretty sure it lost plays during that. It was at 0 plays for like 3 days after release.
