I’m surprised at how well the football songs are holding up on Apple, I thought that would drop like a stone today. They have dropped a bit but nowhere near as much as I thought. I guess they have done crazy numbers yesterday and it’s just taking the rest of the songs longer to catch up. 3 lions is still at #2 (it was #1 until early afternoon when it dropped to #2 and it’s been there since)

#8 Sweet Caroline

#16 Southgate you’re the one (football’s coming home again)

#19 Vindaloo

#28 World in motion

The rest of them are out the top 50 now.

The entire match is still within the last 24 hours, I expect they'll drop much more quickly from 8pm onwards?
Is that how the chart works? I wasn’t sure tbh, I thought it just moved in live time, I didn’t realise it was a 24 hour thing.

Wow 1.7m streams for 3 Lions 🤣, love seeing Spotify’s chart during big events like this. Would just loved to have seen the reaction if they had won yday, prob would have remained number one until the end of this week albeit with moderate figures of 700k daily afterwards, would have been a huge number one!!

Should still do around 50k sales this week overall!

It is now well over 24 hours since the final and Three Lions is still at #4 on Apple. Although tbf I’m not sure when Kworb last updated so it could take a big drop on the next update
Not sure what the rolling period for the Apple charts is, I just assume it is at least 24 hours because new releases typically keep rising for at least that long - I guess the drop on Spotify tomorrow will give a good idea of if it is holding up better than expected or if the Apple charts are just weird and slow x
On Amazon, Three Lions is still as high as #3 (& #23) but numbers-wise probably on a huge tumble from its peak, as seen elsewhere: Vindaloo is #31, World In Motion #98 and Atomic Kitten #130

Big tumbles on Apple now

On today’s Spotify update 2 football songs have survived and are still in the top 50.

#21 3 lions

#45 Sweet Caroline

Stay is also above Clash surprisingly

#3 Stay

#4 Clash

'Stay' looking like it's coming to be a pretty huge hit then, definitely did not expect it to overtake 'Clash' this soon (I am not too surprised at the latter dropping off a bit following the initial hype as the reception to it hasn't been amazing from what I've seen but losing a 200k lead over 'Stay' after only 4 days is pretty steep, holding up better on Apple though).

A big rise for 'Motley Crew' today to a new peak of #26 (a lot of that rise is because of the football songs falling back of course but it wouldn't have been in the top 40 even removing all the football songs yesterday so that's still a big increase even aside from that).

The streaming numbers for most songs seem strangely low today - looks like basically all songs have lower numbers than they did this time last week and most are dropping from yesterday as well despite the football songs dying off (strange as I'm sure streams normally increase on the Tuesday update?) 'Clash' is actually slightly up from yesterday despite falling behind 'Stay' though.

'Three Lions' having a somewhat decent hold after all, although in percentage terms it has fallen off harder than it did when it fell 1-52 in 2018 (that was an 83.2% drop while this time it has dropped 89.4%).

Yeah I noticed this too, songs at the bottom of the top 200 sitting on 44k ish streams and all songs outside the top 10 except 1 are all below 200k streams. I’ve never seen it this low especially on a Tuesday, very strange.

Atomic Kitten at #78 are the next highest of the hangers-on.

Even the mass football clearout can't quite lift Fly Away into the top 50 (up to #51 again)

Ed is #1 on 581K and Olivia #2 on 501K, maybe figures are so low cos people are starting to go on holidays?

Knew Post Malone would climb big after being added to HH
