I still can 't believe no one thought of releasing a new 2021 version of Three Lions

Looking at iTunes, it's clear everyone owns the original cos it's not getting crazy sales anymore, mostly 200 copies a day this past week and even yesterday with the semis just maybe 1K, which is nothing... sure a 2021 version with new people and new lyrics would get higher downloads...

Not sure how the OCC would treat a new version, if still would half the streams? probably yes...

OMG Atomic Kitten in the top 10 of HHUK in 2021

3 Lions now #1 AND #2 on Amazon *.*

Vindaloo #3, World In Motion #6

Atomic Kitten now #28

As Amazon usually report on time, I think all these streams will be counted for tomorrow.

The Atomic Kitten song has been added to Hot Hits and pretty high up.

I thought this was a troll!!

Proof that Payola happens as three lions ain’t here

oh my how come did AK get added to HH as track #10!!!! and on a Thursday, that never happens!
They tried making a new version of 'Three Lions' in 2010 and very few people cared - even that year, well predating streaming, the original song peaked higher (getting to #10 while the 2010 version peaked at #21). I don't think there'd be much chance of another new version of it getting anywhere on streaming for much the same reason as the new version of 'Yes Sir, I Can Boogie' did not supplant the original.
If England win, a winner's version of Three Lions (possibly for relevant charity) could be massive if rush released, especially on sales.
Lol, hopefully it updates soon, really interested to where 3 lions is, I don’t think it will be above Ed but I think it could be close…

Just as I say that it’s updated and 3 lions is number 1 ahead of Ed 😂

3 Lions over 1 million combined (1,028K)

'Sweet Caroline' #29 - was curious about that one as the players were singing it along with the crowd at the end, it actually got played on Radio 1 earlier

Atomic Kitten top 20 is quite wild to see :cheeseblock:

That is a higher total than it ever managed in 2018 (it had 754k / 924k combined on the day of the semi-final) - wonder if we could see the top version hitting 1 million on Sunday? It does look like it will have a tough time reaching the official #1 again though, Ed is doing higher numbers than the song it beat to #1 last time and of course its downloads are nowhere near as high as they were then. Should definitely be at least a top 3 contender though (if it's not already this week).

'Vindaloo' and 'World In Motion' also both in the top 10 for the first time at #6 and #10 respectively, plus 'Sweet Caroline' is in at #29 and the new song from Krept & Konan et al. has climbed to a new peak of #50.

Also:

60 The White Stripes - Seven Nation Army

75 Gala - Freed From Desire

90 Ant & Dec - We're On The Ball

101 4-4-2 - Come On England

111 Shakira - Waka Waka (This Time For Africa) (feat. Freshlyground)

118 Atomic Kitten - Whole Again ( )

156 The Fratellis - Chelsea Dagger

There are a few other older songs re-entering the top 200 as well but not sure if they have any relation to the football at all (The Verve 'Bitter Sweet Symphony' at #138, Fatboy Slim 'Right Here, Right Now' at #154, The Jam 'Town Called Malice' at #170). Surprised to see Earth, Wind & Fire's 'September' not in the top 200!
