Posted July 4, 20214 yr xAmm3W5CSBg Still not on streaming sites but at least we have a 1080p video on youtube! Flatline is 8 years old. 8 years of "soon". 8 years since Scala. FINALLY this year we get something that finally might be the beginning of the end for soon. I still love this track. It is so underrated. Its magnificent.
July 4, 20214 yr Loved this song from the first listen, still do. Even though it led to no new album or subsequent releases it’s still a great song.
July 4, 20214 yr Aussie music blog ‘AusPop’ ranked it as the best pop song of 2013. https://www.auspop.com.au/2013/12/best-of-2013-no-01/
July 4, 20214 yr Fab song! I only noticed the other day it's not on streaming when I went to listen to it... why? Is there any hope of that changing sometime?
July 5, 20214 yr Author Not sure why it was taken down off streaming, it came off YouTube too but a fan has uploaded the version in the OP so at least we have something. The girls are aware that it’s down and say that they are working on getting it sorted. Not sure exactly what that means. Hopefully it will go back up soon
July 5, 20214 yr I think it's due to their contract with Polydor finally running out in addition to them reclaiming the Sugababes name.
July 5, 20214 yr I can't listen to this song without feeling a disappointment with the chart position it got, this should have been #1 "for 50 f*cking weeks" (to quote Bebe Rexha). In al seriousness, this song is just pure perfection and was easily my favourite song of 2013. It was just so exciting to see them coming back, working with Dev and releasing a truly iconic masterpiece.
July 5, 20214 yr It would have charted a fair bit higher if they hadn't midweek released it, that was really stupid!
July 5, 20214 yr Author It’s been 8 years and the thought of how botched the release was still makes me seethe with rage. Midweek release was stupid but so was putting the majority of the bloody track on SoundCloud like a month before release. Stupid stupid stupid.
July 5, 20214 yr It definitely deserved a much higher position it's a good song. That video however is terrible!
August 27, 20213 yr Still love this song. I remember being so excited when this came out because I thought we’d get an album…
September 13, 20213 yr Good to see Flatline acknowledged in this Official Chart Flashback 2013: Just outside the Top 40, original Sugababes members Mutya, Keisha and Sibohan attempted a comeback as MKS, but their first and only release under that moniker, Flatline, dropped in at Number 50 after being released just two days prior.
May 9, 20223 yr The song would have been an easy top 20, but would have fallen out quickly. Not to mention the song was out months before and each push back did not work. They will probably pop the song back on media platforms when they launch back with an album. The irony of all the fans working hard to get it to 1 million streams and then they take it down :cheeseblock:
