Posted July 20, 20214 yr Greater Manchester Police have effectively given away the identity of the Premier League player arrested by stating that he is 31 years old. Why give away his age. Could they have just announced that a man was arrested for alleged child abuse? Corruption in my eyes.
July 20, 20214 yr It's not unusual for a suspect's age to be given when they've been arrested, however if he was named before being charged that would be an entirely different story.
July 20, 20214 yr Googling it, there are quite a few reports as to who it is, and these seem to stem from the revealing of the age/location
July 20, 20214 yr He's not been named but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to work out who it is. Would be better if we do not name the person involved and comment only on facts, the issue is potentially very libelous due to the nature of the allegations.
July 20, 20214 yr Corruption??? No. That’s not what that means at all. If no details had been given at all then you’d argue that corruption was behind keeping it quiet. GM Police haven’t said any more or any less than they typically do when giving comment to the press. Sure there’s more eyes on this than other cases but the press statement reads like the ones where they had arrested other celebs for assault or drink driving etc. Tbh it reads like every other statement from GMP I’ve seen in the MEN
