whereas SYT became a hit because of a remix

Not really because it was already a hit before the remix

Anywho, very grateful for Papa Tesfaye blessing us with a new album in the quiet January period *_* hoping the Tyler collab delivers!

Different between Perfect and SYT remixes is that the Perfect didn’t become a hit because of a remix whereas SYT became a hit because of a remix

Good lord

This is the rumoured tracklisting that's floating around:

1. Dawn FM (feat. Jim Carrey)

2. Gasoline

3. How Can I Make You Love Me

4. Take My Breath (Extended)

5. Sacrifice

6. A Tale By Quincy

7. Out Of Time

8. Here We Go Again (feat. Tyler, The Creator)

9. Best Friends Interlude

10. Is There Someone Else

11. Starry Eyes

12. Every Angel Is Terrifying

13. Don’t Break My Heart

14. I Heard You’re Married (feat. Lil Wayne)

15. Less Than Zero

16. May Peace Be With You (feat. Jim Carrey)

Tracklisting confirmed which is pretty much all of this above except:

#3 is called 'How Do I Make You Love Me?'

#16 is called 'Phantom Regret By Jim'

Looking forward to this, from the clip above, it really sounds pretty good on first listen, I'll be happy if he gets to #1 next week, fresh music at the top, for the next 12 to 15 weeks :D
Sacrifice is the next single produced by SHM and pushed on Friday
agree, good her didn't include it in the album
Sacrifice is great! Positively surprised so far
I don’t know why I still wait for him to release something good. It’s been 10 years. Next please

There's a lot of good moments on here, I really liked the rather meta sounds on Out Of Time, Every Angel Is Terrifying has some very cool spoken bits and the rather spooky additions of the radio on the intro and outro add a lot to the atmosphere.

More consistent an artistic thing than After Hours at least.

Gasoline is fab! Also love How Do I Make You Love Me mixed into Take My Breath

Every Angel Is Terrifying is an interesting take on an 'ad break'

Just listened through it once and pretty much everything here is good. Less Than Zero and Sacrifice were the standouts

It’s definitely a very cohesive album but I feel like it for sure borders on samey, but that could change with some more listens

I think as a whole project I’ll prefer this to After Hours as it’s really consistent but it doesn’t have the highs of In Your Eyes or Blinding lights tbh

My main complaint is that by far my favourite production on this is Every Angel is Terrifying and then it turns out just to be an ad break/interlude type thing!! So annoying

I feel like I'm going to need a few more listens to get a firmer opinion on this. Right now, it's definitely a solid album but there wasn't a song that I *loved* like In Your Eyes, SYT and Blinding Lights on After Hours. My favourites are Less Than Zero, Gasoline, Sacrifice and I Heard You're Married (although could do without the feature on that one, it doesn't even fit well imo?)

100% this!! It would've definitely been one of my favourites had it been a fully fledged song

I have to listen to this album more but it sounds good what I have heard so far and I am glad he has continued with the 80s style production!

A full cohesive "driving at night" 80s synth sound with radio adverts, plus a deeper new wave-type vocal style thrown in places to match... obviously here for this!

I was a bit disappointed with the features and agree that 'Every Angel is Terrifying' was such a tease, deserved to be a fully fledged song, but there are some gorgeous highlights on here, I think my top 3 right now are: 'How Do I Make You Love Me?', 'Less Than Zero' and 'Gasoline'. It's great to have a new album from a megastar so early on in the year!
