August 12, 20214 yr ^ But everyone knows that the album chart no longer reflects what people are buying, it reflects what people are listening to - although I guess it doesn't even reflect that particularly accurately. The album chart has been rendered pretty meaningless and nothing more than a vague indicator of listening habits, and unless the streaming platforms sort their shit out and are able to report on whole album plays distinctly from passive plays of songs from albums/playlists, I can't really see things changing. Totally agree, they really do need to review how the album charts work as if they dont it will be full of albums that will stay on the chart for years on end, there are so many album on the chart now that probably have next to zero actual sales and albums that actually have possibly 1k sales arent charting.
August 12, 20214 yr Billie is now #1 in the midweeks with a 1,348 lead over Will. We all saw it coming sadly. I don't see how he can pull it back unless that signing of his today sells like 3k+ cds... Which lets be honest it will be a few hundred. :cry:
