I wasn't a part of this forum when she left Little Mix, so I'm not sure if this has been discussed.

There was a striking difference between the tone of her exit statement and that of the other girls.

Whilst the girls actually said they "love her very much" and "are fully supportive of Jesy", Jesy did not reciprocate that tone. Phrases like "I need to spend time with people I love" and how being in the group has made her miserable, speak volumes. She was proud of their achievements and expressed love for the fans, but not for the other girls.

 

I know it's all words and people often write what they don't mean, but the difference between both statements made me feel like I didn't know the group I loved anymore.

Their friendship looked so real, and that was what made me become a fan to be honest. They operated like a proper unit. There have been other talented groups.

 

Clearly, she fell out with them, and that is, well, okay. Keeping it classy by focusing on her solo career and not making unnecessary negative remarks about the music they made would be the least expectation. Releasing her new music around the girls' 10th anniversary would be pushing it too far, and actually spiteful.

None of the four does it for me as an individual,so I could never be a massive fan of them as soloists as I have been for them as a group.

 

I hope Ms Nelson focuses on making herself happy in a way that doesn't have to paint a picture of unnecessary drama with her ex-bandmates.

If the other three wronged her in a way we don't know about, that would be a different kettle of fish!

I can’t help but laugh at the terrible timing. Obviously, the choice to do all of this around the anniversary was already a mess but what a terrible time to announce a Nicki collab. The only current worse option would’ve been Dababy.

Agreed! I had such goodwill for her but the fact she’s blocked anyone who has called her out for it and obviously not seen any of the many articles highlighting it really awful

I think she is starting out on every wrong foot she can and I dont think it will bode well for her, she is losing the goodwill at a rapid rate before she even gets going.

No it’s been apparently for a long time but she’s finally properly stepping into the limelight again and not just on social media which is why people are bringing it up

Whilst I’m not on the Jesy stan train right now- her behaviour only started recently that’s really worth questioning. Her leaving Little Mix, going solo etc is fine. Like up to 2 weeks or so her behaviour was pretty much fine, dont use this lapse in her image to insult her when she hadn’t done anything wrong.

She dropped the Cosmo interview the same day as Leigh announced her pregnancy.

Now again, complete disregard or respect to those she has offended with the grill / image.

I lost respect for her ages ago because she was victim to trolling and abuse, yet couldn’t care less who she insults.

Lastly, You have question when the general public or casual fans assumed she was mixed race! Even my dad thought she was mixed! It’s just out of order.

1) That's a lie, that's stans reading too much into things and trying to create drama from nothing

Obviously, I know full well she isn’t!

 

 

You keep referring to her mental health which I fully respect but on the flip side you can’t just use that as excuse for her shitty behaviour!

 

What about the other girls? Don’t you think they had a hard time too trying to make sure she was ok whilst trying to enjoy the ride, It’s annoying me how everyone keeps letting her off things because of her mental health.

 

Like I’ve said so many times, she was my favourite! My opinions are valid because that’s how I’ve seen things since she left the group and in the last year or so.

 

Her mental health isn’t an excuse to selfishly disregard others feelings/opinions.

Thing with Jesy is that she's been problematic for years. Remember when she was constantly recording herself on Instagram listening to R. Kelly (the same time his documentary dropped??) and then when she got criticised for it she carried on by listening to Chris Brown instead. It doesn't make her a bad person but it just shows either a complete lack of self awareness or sheer arrogance and an idea that she'll 'do what she wants' and anyone who speaks against her is a 'hater'.

 

I have every sympathy for her with her body image issues (honestly, I do) and think she's very talented and I wish she stayed in Little Mix but I feel like her solo career is something she'll regret. She simply cannot handle criticism.

 

It's a shame because the other girls were literally in tears on her documentary about how much they loved her and wanted to protect her from everything and it's just such a....waste that it's come to this. Three girls are still together and winning Brit Awards, racking up more and more hit singles and riding a wave of public goodwill and establishing themselves as proper legends in the industry and Jesy is about to release a song with Nicki at the worst possible time of her career (Nicki's) and is already getting called out and attention on her for blackfishing and her attitude towards Little Mix.
