That was a lot of playback but it's forgivable for the choreography. I thought she came across very likeable in the interview, I do think she's right when she said things just need a bit of time to heal and I'm glad she still acknowledges the girls in a positive light.

Oh the Jesy lovers are back in force attacking me for an opinion on her performance...

On iTunes it’s moved up 4 spots to 20 from 24.

I’ve not actually seen one positive comment online (perhaps the odd one) and even a couple of mates messaged me and said did you see how bad Jesy’s performance was.

I mean come on...It was terrible.

So I’m a troll? I think people forget I’ve actually been positive at times about her! Stop portraying me to something I’m not just because my opinions aren’t the same as yours.

It’s a forum, If Little Mix had done a rubbish performance I’d happy say it (which I have before).

The issue is that you are literally guilty of the same thing that you’re accusing her ‘lovers’ of doing (the lovers are just people who have a diff opinion to you, why do you expect them to respect your opinion ‘because it’s different to yours’ if you don’t do the same to others?

Anyway, rewatching the performance and I just think the whole thing was fine.. The song is still not any good but I did enjoy it for what it was I guess. I think Twitter etc are looking at anything she does or says with a microscope, so I feel like anything she said in the interview would’ve been misconstrued.

Watched this, she doesn't seem very self-aware (if at all) and obviously doesn't have anyone around her to advise properly right now. It's a bit sad. :(

Entirely accurate. I don't know what her team are doing hiding her from the comments. I understand being protective due to her past but there is a difference between trolling someone about their looks and calling them out for things they do. It leaves her vulnerable in interviews if she's left in the dark so much.

I think Jesy is a decent person but as with many people, trauma can really impact your development and you're very exposed when you don't have your band mates to help. The same thing happened with Geri to a far worse degree.

But ita very early days. She has the talent and the fan base to make it work. Hopefully for her that song that clicks with people comes early.

So as a meta comment, aware this isn't my forum but over in drag race I do think I like people to share whatever opinions they have good & bad around the topic.

Personally I'm baffled by the choice to lipsync the first live performance as a solo. I might hypothesise it could have been a last minute switch if she had another panic attack again but her management forced her to still perform because (ironically enough) there was no-one else to possibly fill in. Her dancing was good and it served to show a different side of her to the broader public. But I'm not surprised twitter etc. is dragging her for it.

On that note. I almost wonder if that might be a deliberate or unintentional side effect. She has already been seeding the narrative of any criticism of her being bullying. This new wave of criticism online allows her to play victim again if she needs to to promo single #2.

Anyway, I didn't think her lipsyncing was terrible but Honest Vocal Coach reviewed it well & was saying that she was forgetting to do things with her mic to disguise it, which is a good point. A headset might have worked better as an illusion.

That Graham performance was pretty embarrassing, I don't even mind seeing someone lip sync but the way she was doing it was just plain bad. At least Cheryl, to use an example, always had pre-recorded vocals with some live bits thrown into it. And she was usually dancing more than Jesy did, because the dancing itself wasn't super impressive eiher. Her look also showed, once again, she doesn't give a damn about all the critism she has gotton. It always seems like her team wants her to fail or something.

Honestly, if that's the case she really needs a new team around her since they're supposed to think of possible scenarios where things go wrong - the easiest thing would've been to have her pre-record a "live" vocal in case anxiety gets to her and have her mime to that. I don't think pop artists can really get away with miming to vocals lifted directly from the studio track these days, unless you're a drag queen or Britney Spears essentially. So it was completely predictable that people would tear her to shreds for it, but it's not a "Jesy" specific thing; most pop artists would if they mimed to the studio track.

Then again, no one seemingly told her the Bad Boys video/look was a bad idea either, so...

It's a shame her first solo single is about Boyz, and samples another song. Saying that, the song is actually growing on me. It's very dance-y, and should work well in night clubs.

several gay clubs in the UK have tried to play it and everyone just stops moving so.. maybe the hets will have better luck w/it

I'm screaming that I've just found out what Nicki says at the end of the song -

It's Nicki and Jesy

He love me and plus he

Ready to knock a motherf***er out just to impress me (woo)

Ah we love a song celebrating violence don't we?

she’s playing capital ball and the comments and tweets are wild
I worry she'll be boo'd or the crowd will give her no reaction.
Don’t artists normally sing a few songs at these events? Will she sing some little mix songs as well as boys?
Artists generally do 3/4 songs, headliners do more. But it's not uncommon to do 2 or even just 1 song.
It’s really early for her to be doing these kind of gigs. everyone is pretty much over her or intensely dislikes her. I know there’s still stans but I think this may be a bad situation
Yeah performing in a stadium to mostly non-fans / probably a lot of people who are actively upset with her. I don't condone booing at all but I think it's an unwise choice for her.
