I low-key think it's going to be pushed a bit harder in the coming weeks (hence the late addition to HHUK/it's Scott Mills Record of the Week this week - I assume playlisting will occur this week?). Idk, but I'm gonna hold off on it's chart performance for another couple of weeks and see where it's at later. Is it looking promising? No. Will it be a 'Bounce Back' style flop or more of a 'Think About Us'? Idk, but I'm gonna choose to remain optimistic that they're not going for instant success with this one. For now, I'm just gonna enjoy it for what it is (a Summery, feel-good B O P)

After listening to this a few times in the car on the way to work, it's really been clicking with me more. Although I really need to look up the lyrics as I can't understand about 80% of what Jade is singing.

 

I'd obviously love for this to be a hit but it definitely seems to be struggling and at this point I'm just hoping for a top 20 peak at some point. Although I don't think it'll affect the girls too much as I think the album is the main focus right now and it's gonna sell loads anyway.

I won't lie I haven't been coming back to this much. I played it in the car on the way to the beach with my other half and bestfriends and reception wasn't great. But then their taste does deviate quite a bit from mine so that doesn't mean anything.

I'm unfortunately the same, I do give it streams throughout the day to try help out. I like the song but just not as much as the singles they've released the past couple of years.

 

I really think whenever this is performed live it'll elevate the song so much - it'll be good on tour i'm sure!

 

Really hope over the next few weeks it climbs.

They always got their number 1 in week 1, but that changed with Sweet Melody. Only their lead singles go #1, but Sweet Melody wasn't a lead single.

What I'm saying is that you can't always predict with what has happened in the past. This year is different - they have had 2 Collabs for songs not primarily theirs in the space of three months. This song has only just come out. Week 1 is not even over yet. Playlisting is only just starting. I'm not saying it's a Sweet Melody, but it deserves some time before we call it a flop.

i have to admit that even though i do genuinely enjoy it i haven't rinsed it as much as i do other little mix leads/releases lol

 

that pre-chorus is like crack but i feel like the chorus is a bit of a slog and the post-chorus section is too long

 

still a solid 7/10 - it's just a bit long in the worst way when there's really only 2 solid parts to the song (pre-chorus & middle 8)

i see where joe is coming from, like all their other songs they've at least stabilised or held up well, this has done the opposite and has been #2 on hot songs Apple. The song itself doesn't feel as big or huge as anything they've released that's not peaked in week one, if it misses the top 30 i'd like to hope it will re-peak but I'll be surprised if it manages top 20.

Honestly it's probably going to be one of their biggest flops but I doubt it will harm them. They've had so many hits this year that this one will be quickly forgotten, then they can go on tour next year and come back with a better song and start fresh again.
