Hello! I’m a bit nervous about presenting the results, mainly because I don’t really know what the conventions are, what I’m doing, nor how much I’m going to inadvertently give people stress or upset ppl so please bear with me and know that I am trying my best.

Anyway I’ve quadruple checked both the votes and tabulated results, and can (mostly) confidently say that we unequivocally have 36 Qs and 22 DNQs plus an AQ. Thank you for taking part and for sending some great tracks that matched the ethos and vibe that we were trying to go for with this contest. I really appreciated it and I hope you enjoyed listening along too. I’m sorry to those who are going to be missing out on progressing to the After Party Final.

Things I can confirm: BuzzJack Mountain have voted. There is a tie between 18th/19th place in one of the Semi-Finals. The following reprobates drank too much in the club, passed out on the dance floor and failed to vote:

★ Hendinia

★ D'yermak'er

A penalty of 33% will be applied, and this will be deducted from their final point total(s).

So, what nations record crate finds filled the dance floor, and what setlist tunes took that Cascada number 1 from 2009 quite literally and cleared the dance floor? Find out, at 6* maybe see u then?

*Appreciate that I’ll be competing with the chart update’s exciting reveal as to whether Ed Sheeran is still trolling Adelita by spending a 9th consecutive week at number 1 and whether Queen’s Greatest Hits will be in the Top 100 for a 960th week, but I’m willing to take that gamble/ happy enough talking to myself.

Looking forward to it! Not expecting much but I'm intrigued as to how many of my potential fans have converted to... adrenaline.

I may even be around for... other reasons that preclude me going to sleep tonight, don't judge me, so possibly checking in here should I last the new anime girl debut run okay is just a bonus

Oop at d’yermaker I still think they will be fine even with deduction
Oh I missed the deadline!? I didn't even realise, silly me. Had high hopes for this entry too :drama: I can send them through now if it's any help/not too late lol :(
I'm excited to see what you bring Dr Blind! :cheer: Also I'm quite happy that if I do make it through, the worst we can do is 37th  Won't look so bad on our records!

The irony of this being actually true x

it wouldn’t be a party without Danæviia so let’s hope the good people of Buzzjackia have sent us our invitation tonight.

:kink: we actually both were on a big night out together!

Ugh I'm gutted i missed the deadline - I wanted everyone to hear this entry

Hoping I'm able to qualify as it's something I've been obsessed with for a few months now. Doesn't necessarily give me dnq vibes either but if it is then can't really be too surprised as I missed out with trance before lol.

Hopefully some tracks I voted for that I'm not sure of qualifying can provide a couple of surprises.

Yeah, I'm very sorry Bal - I meant to send out reminders but then I was out all day yesterday too and didn't get back until after the deadline has passed. :( My fault for making it a Saturday night cut-off !

I think Hendinia will probably qualify anyway. D'yermak'er I am less sure about but I really hope they may be able to still qualify as well, was a great entry D:

I guess I am in the same situation myself as I was last month, I feel ~in my heart~ like I should be safe but getting some DNQ predictions and a somewhat more mixed reaction in the listenthrough than I hoped for doesn't indicate as much. I really thought this would have been the safer choice (for having a more reliable niche, not for being wider appealing x) of the 2 songs I was ultimately stuck between last month so it'll be a bit of a blow to my BJSC senses if this one actually DNQs!

honestly same like I thought my entry would have been safer than Energy when I confirmed but now I don’t think that’s gonna be a possibility, I feel like a clown

If Hildegard DNQs I have officially lost faith in BJSC

Let’s kick off proceedings with the only fact of the night (that I'm confident of!) St. Burbia are AQ to the final.

AQ (21): St. Burbia ~ Alewya “Spirit_X”

Looking a bit lonely there but not for much longer. Alewya’s club banger “Spirit_X” will be 21st in the order for the grand final.

FUTURE SOUNDS

Irish DJ Annie Mac recently bid an emotional farewell to R1 listeners after broadcasting on the station for 17 years. For reference: that’s actually longer than it has taken Bré to count down his favourite songs of 2020. x Future Sounds went out weekday evenings and championed a veritable feast of new music from a wide variety of genres and was at the forefront of the stations remit to promote exciting new talents. However, we’re more interested here in her Friday night Dance Party of course. The party isn’t quite over for these 4 nations though, they’ve all made qualification. Congrats !

01: Terra Avium ~ Midnight Danger “To The Shadows And Back”

Current Q Streak: 4

02: Ultraviolenceland ~ MICHAELA “Tears In My Eyes”

Current Q Streak: 3

03: Aelandor ~ Arwelone ft. High Fantasy “Strange Symmetry”

Current Q Streak: 1

04: #00274E ~ Hanne Mjøen “Emotional Fever”

Current Q Streak: 4
