''Walks Like Rihanna' as a title is supposed to be tongue in cheek. She obviously doesn't have a famous walk. It was about how record labels don't care about talent - 'she can't sing, she can't dance, but who cares' - and how desperate the marketing can be to sell someone to the GP. :lol:

 

Which is fine as a song theme for the latest and greatest indie rock band who look like they just walked out your local dive, the point is rather lost when it's sung by to the latest in a long stream of boyband's who are all about image management and being good looking and trendy.

That's a different argument though. People have been acting like they were seriously saying Rihanna had a distinctive walk all these years when anyone who's listened to the lyrics and watched the video knows it's a pisstake.

The only noticeable thing I remember from the Walks Like Rihanna video was the obvious product placement of Samsung smartphones.

Another Greatest Hits with a deluxe edition... Why is a deluxe edition even a thing for Greatest Hits.

To tag on new songs and fan favourites? There's probably v. little want for a Wanted greatest hits so anything to garner a few more sales/streams.

 

I always felt after the success of 'Glad You Came', they tried to recreate the same song and failed.

Oh Wow this is a reunion i didnt exspect or saw it coming. I'm here for it anyway "Glad You Came" and "All Time Low" are pop perfection.

I was never a fan but good for them, after what has happened with Sarah life really is too short and it's lovely they are doing this following Tom's diagnosis.

The greatest hits is available to preorder on iTunes. No track list yet but deluxe has 5 extra tracks.

The O2 seems quite ambitious for them? If memory serves they only managed to sell half of Wembley during their last era.

Yeah but all the people who became the biggest Wanted fans in the world but hadn't heard of Tom Parker six months ago will be buying their tickets to pose on social media. There was a really weird one a few years ago with a few metal bands where they went from barely selling out car parks to selling out Wembley Arena because the lead singer got cancer/was murdered. Folk are weird.

Do you know what bands those could be? That sounds like quite a monumental jump even with sad circumstances involved.

 

 

 

 

They performed All Time Low, Gold Forever and Glad You Came! Surprisingly poignant lyrically in places, given Tom’s health 💔 Great performances!

 

In the interview they teased that their upcoming single is upbeat and a party starter - The Wanted 7 years on. And that they can imagine it going down well in an arena setting. Exciting, bring on the bop!

They seem to be really going for it with the greatest hits and i hope it all goes well for them, i think its a brilliant distraction for Tom and i hope they can earn some good money from the reunion tour etc as im sure it will help Tom financially with his treatment etc and also some financial security for his family.
