Måneskin - 'MAMMAMIA' dropped out of the Spotify top 200 yesterday but has re-entered today, so its first day of climbing on there, still advancing on Apple as well - hopefully a good sign moving forward and the video drops tonight too.
Oh nice little climb for Adele, usually streams are quite stable for Mon-Thu, so hopefully she will remain around 1.3-1.4 million
Obviously that small climb for Adele will be a small drop relative to the market, so I expect she’ll drop gently over the next few days but stay well into 7 figures until at least Saturday.
Remarkable that Mr Brightside has only ever spent 2 weeks in the top 20.

Yeah I think it only did 1 week Top 20. Its initial top 40 run was 10-26-38 and I don’t think it’s ever come back higher than 28.
Here in Ireland mr brightside is like the UK and has been on the charts forever but only has a number 48 peak, it feels it had a much higher peak due to its sales and longevity.
Remarkable that Mr Brightside has only ever spent 2 weeks in the top 20.

I thought it only spent one week in the top 20? According to polyhex it went 10-26-38 in its first three weeks and never graced the top 20 again, unless I'm going blind :blink:

Mr Brightside a mix of an ice cold Strongbow and biting into a lemon on a pint of Diet Coke.

Let’s have a Buzzjack campaign to get Mr.Brightside into the top 10…

I sometimes think about how 'Mr Brightside' has gone on to become what it is since its release and find it so fascinating/bizarre.

 

I'd probably be glad to never hear the song again at this point though, its ubiquity over the years has sort of ruined it for me to the point I roll my eyes whenever I hear the intro.

Oh yeah, looks like it did only have one week in the top 20- for some reason I thought it was two. :kink:

 

It really is a chart oddity.

But do you hear it so much? Can't recall hearing it at the gym or on the radio, while I randomly hear Cold Heart like every time I go into a shop or even take the bus.

 

Funnily for me it didn't do much for me when released back in the day and I much preferred all the other singles

but it win me over eventually and now I know all the lyrics by heart and even can play it and sing on guitar :D

If you go to a club, there’s a 99% chance it will be played at some point during the night.

A lot of songs had chart runs like that back then though!

…but not a lot of them ended up spending hundreds of weeks in the top 100 years later x
