^^ £5 for a 1 track CD was probably pushing it especially when the price other artists are selling them for seem to have settled between £2-3.

The drop from the midweeks to the final chart position of Kylie's last 3 singles following the physical format being released:

Say Something: #23 to #56 (dropped 33 places)

Magic #24 to #53 (dropped 29 places)

Real Groove #53 to #97 (dropped 44 places)

A Second to Midnight holding on to Top 100 is probable but it will be close!

A Second To Midnight is as bland as "Higher".

Shame it’s not gone Top 10 and certified silver like ‘Higher’ did though :kink:

Good to see that its top 100 in the mids, hopefully it can hold on, it prob needs something else like more remixes push out now to make sure it stays in.
They may well have possible had 1 week if things were more tied together but top 40 for someone like Kylie is hard.
If the singles were handled better. Say something and Magic would have been top 40 hits. 😱

Just Carol Honey

:drama: Both could have easily made it if they had released things at the same time - potentially ‘Stop Me From Falling’ too :drama:

Hopefully it will just hold on!! Coming for that #99 debut

I just feel the singles era for Kylie is now over - I mean she needs a massive Spotify following and I feel for her that this is never going to be part of her 5 decades of music. I was around from the start and watched with fascination as the records in the shop moved to the new position it was so exciting .... I don't find the singles exciting anymore .
Added to Happy Beats on Spotify. 1.6m followers. And its top of the list. Very good playlist to get on

I do agree, i think the only chance she has of a hit is if she managed to pull off something like Elton John has managed with cold heart, this or she gets featured by some dance artist but possibly used in the way Whitney's higher love was sampled by Kygo. Overall we cant complain kylies has had her fair share of hits so its not like she hasnt had her time but id always be happy to see Kylie on the charts.

The midweek placement for A Second To Midnight appears to low to actually achieve a Top 100 placement this week.
#70 in today’s update. I had hoped the CD would have done a lot better but a fiver for a one track CD is ridiculous.
Also some of those CDs will be held up in the bundles still to be dispatched??

A few maybe, but even though I ordered everything together they split my order so I got everything apart from the Boxset.

Wednesday midweek: #93 today with 3,125 sales. Sadly there's no way this'll be Top 100 on Friday :(

Not sure how many CDs it has sold as of today's mids, but in the Tuesday midweeks it had sold 1,935 CDs, up from 1,861 CDs on Monday.

I do think BMG have been too greedy with this CD single, in terms of pricing. They have kind of missed the point of what purpose it should serve - easy sales for the chart. They didn't make it an attractive enough purchase. On paper they should have been able to sell more copies of this than her vinyl singles... but I don't think it should have been more than £2.99 (even that is kind of pushing it for a 1 track single that isn't signed).
