I honestly am a bit gutted by just how insincere she comes across.

All of her interviews are word for word almost the same like its a script. She slags off everything about being in the band the just tags on how much she loves the girls and had so much fun.

Then she releases this debut that's basically a cover in a fake voice. There's nothing authentic to be seen.

The fact it's been confirmed her team were the ones blocking her comments about black fishing and that Leigh who has for a decade been called the sweetest member of LM is basically calling her out says it all.

perrie, leigh & jade have all unfollowed her on insta

edit: main LM account too

I know this was going to happen at some point but its still sad its come to this :(

I feel like Jesy is going to have soooo many regrets and is gonna find the criticism an difficultly getting a hit as a solo artist way worse than she imagined.

To be fair to her she's been asked the same questions a 100 times so she's going to have the same answer..

She's said how much she thinks them as a three are killing it and that they deserve all the success, what else is there to say?

She did have a bad time in the band and we can't ignore that. In regards to your opinion on the song that's fair enough as everyone is entitled to an opinion.

I think at this point there does need to be some sort of good statement put out and some action to work on the issues that have been raised.

it makes me a bit sad listening to that interview hearing Jesy say nice things about LM when they have (rightly or wrongly) washed their hands of her.
She's said lots of nice things but the way she's indirectly shaded little mix's music is just so bad. It's the main reason MNEK must be mad for example.

I agree but it has to come from her personally and not some DaBaby PR shit!!!

I think tbf, this is a bit of a reach - a promotional tour tends to be the same questions asked at you so she isn’t going to give different answers to the same questions really? Why can she not have had negative experiences which led her to leave the band (let’s remember she literally attempted suicide whilst in the band) but not have good memories and love for her former colleagues?

Like yes, she’s blackfishing and she’s being held accountable for that rightfully but her feelings about her time in LM are absolutely valid.

She's always made it quite clear her favourite music is R&B/Hip-hop but I do definitely get how it can rub the girls and their team up the wrong way.

I really wouldn't have expected any of this a year ago...

Regardless of your personal feelings about each individual member, it’s very sad to know that the girls who went through X-Factor, Brit Awards, Glory Days and all those hilarious and emotional interviews together have now finally shown their first real sign of animosity towards eachother.

Sad that they no longer follow her but it’s to be expected now.

I think they’ve done the right thing for them and for their brand now.

Yeah it is really sad :(

I'm just watching this interview and its sad, she says what she loved the most about Little Mix is that they all stood for the same thing, they all wanted to be equal and not be the 'main one' and that she agreed there was something special about Little Mix.

Kinda sad that she seems very happy talking about Perrie and Leigh having their babies and she wishes them the best. Her reactions seem very genuine about them.

I really do think this is a case where were you don't speak for a long time things just get even worse, I feel like them unfollowing her may come as a shock as she genuinely seems to still care about them and think of them in a good regard (in my view anyway).

Slayer you mention the tan but her whole image and the video is pretty much based on black culture.

I mean ‘Perfectville’ shows white heritage ( the white old man and the white women) and then it appears a gang show up from the ‘Hood’ in the video or at least that’s how it comes across.

Respect your opinion but surely you must understand why POC are pi*sed?!

Add to that the grills, language of the song ‘hood, baddie’ etc she’s a white women from Romford with no understanding of the ‘hood’ whatsoever or what any of it entails it’s purely used to create this US ‘baddie’ image. We all know from others who have constantly stated why this is dangerous because at anytime it’s seen as not cool she can just switch up her image and jump on a dance tune!

It’s way deeper than fake tan. I’m not a POC but I can totally feel why some are really offended and I don’t think they should be made to stay quiet.

Thank you. Beautifully put.

A little sad to see the girls all unfollow her. She’s only ever said nice things about them, and looks a bit bitter on their behalf. I don’t understand the issue with her leaving, if you were working at a job you ended up hating why would you not leave, they all seem rather annoyed about it. They’re just as strong without her as she is by herself.

YES! Very well put, minus the feeling sorry for her. She’s had this brought to her attention and chooses to be ignorant and dismissive. Vulgar!

You know why I feel sorry for her.. because I’m sure everything she does is not out of bad intentions, she seems an extremely insecure person who thinks you need to look in a certain way to be accepted.

On the other hand, she’s suffering a bit of the Geri Halliwell post- Ginger phase, which is a contradiction in terms as she’s going solo because she’s overestimating herself. Probably many people around her to cheer her up told her it was a good idea to go solo - the problem is she’s got nothing to offer (let’s think about how clever were Look at Me by Geri, Mel B’s I Want You Back or Melanie C’s Goin’ Down).

I think she needs to make “these mistakes” to understand who she is, what’s right or wrong, and how to find happiness. The problem is these mistakes (like blackfishing) are quite harmful especially to black women.

Leigh liked videos calling out Jesy for black fishing too, it really is over for now.

To be fair it was crickets from Jesy when Leigh spoke about racism and now she's actively ignoring and pretending black-fishing claims aren't valid. They've done the right thing.

did you see the video where. interviewer asked. jesy about the racism and jesy’s ignorance,, i’ve never asked her but she deals with things better

Not them actually dislikig each other now :rip:

I do not think they unfollowed her because she left. Actually, she unfollowed them first. Yes, I know she unfollowed everyone before following Diddy and Nicki, but Jesy did the unfollowing first.

If it was because she left, it would have been done long ago. They've never publicly said anything bad about her either. Same way someone who is done can decide to leave, people can also decide to unfollow.

Apart from the whole blackfishing thing, we have to accept that sometimes, things happen behind the scenes, which we don't know about. It's not just about what's said on interviews.

But there are a lot of white pop and white R&B/ hip hop artists who use elements of black culture in their videos and they havent been criticised as much as Jesy has. Also a lot of K-pop does too now , perhaps Jesy has been influenced by the recent popularity of K-pop?

Although Jesy, on top of being influenced by black culture, has I think gone a bit too far with the over-use of fake tan. I genuinely think though she will learn from the criticism and look paler for the rest of her music videos that she does.

NoHun on Instagram just showed a DM from Leighanne spilling the tea, apparently Jesy cut them off and she’s a ‘horrible person’ eeek. She replied to his ‘should i make a dance video to Boyz’ and she said ‘no do a video about her being a blackfish instead’
