there's no coming back from this for Jesy, she's burned too many bridges and she's really exposed herself. i also feel like we're forgetting about the Sun story that states Leigh told Jesy she needs to think twice about tanning so hard for the Sweet Melody video. Leigh has evidently tried and it matches w/what her sister + friend(?) were saying about the last few years meaning nothing to her in terms of the education.

 

Nicki has always had a bit of a nasty streak, but it's always been backed up by her immense talent and the fact her nasty streak was usually used "for good" but now it's just plain evil - they both are, i genuinely hope Jesy's career doesn't recover and that people rally around Little Mix/Leigh

So for a timeline of things....the Sweet Melody video was shot in September 2020, right? And Jesy's last appearance was in October on The Search when performing Holiday/Touch?

 

So things potentially could have been frosty behind the scenes between then? Or did it maybe blow up after that last performance and that's why she didn't return the next week?

She text Jesy PRIVATELY last year and had opportunities all of 2021 to go public and bad mouth her and still kept dignified about the situation. She made a documentary about racism last year and Jesy never once supported it or acknowledged it publicly and then she ditched the group because she got called out for blackfishing, blocked the girls and is now acting like a bad girl from the ghetto with her fake tan, low rider, grills and Nicki/Diddy in her video meanwhile acting like a victim and using mental health to deflect any criticism. Leigh snapped and sent a few texts in response to an influencer who was clearly baiting.

 

How the HELL is that on the same level as Nicki Minaj (who doesn't know a thing about the group) ranting to 100K followers, calling her a clown, swearing and then making pointed, passive aggressive Instagram and Twitter posts to Leigh (even NAMING HER) when she has millions of fans around the world?

i'm dying that nicki also liked comments about andre made in the past too, like lets not discuss your husband and how you defend him while Leigh Anne publicly criticised Andre.

 

 

I think the BLM movement was a massive part to all of this and it's why Leigh Anne called Jesy out at the Sweet Melody video (while they were still "sisters" and band mates) and Leigh Anne got frustrated that Jesy hasn't learned her lesson, for anybody that mentions Leigh Anne's best friend, she's not have a photo in over a year and a half where she looks anywhere near as blackfish, the photo in question that everyone is raving about was May 2020.

Honestly this situation is just so ridiculous.

 

Leigh did SO much research before and during her documentary, heard people’s stories and learnt a lot even things she probably wasn’t aware of.

 

I’m sure after learning these things, she text Jesy behind the scene’s trying to make her realise how harming being so dark could be. It sounds like there was no malice whatsoever.

 

Fast forward and Jesy is now appropriating black culture (grills, tan, wig, sampling Diddy, using the word ‘Baddie’, hood etc etc) Coupled with Jesy not supporting Leigh’s doc at all publicly and blocking anyone who tried to call her out for ‘blackfishing’ I’m pretty sure it wasn’t her team that’s just an excuse because she even replied to someone saying the tan was natural (again lies when her best mate was tanning her a few days before on her story).

 

I feel so sorry for Leigh, she snapped not only are the girls probably still upset Jesy cut them off but the fact she’s done this video which is way way way above just a dark tan...is anyone surprised?

It wasn’t said to cause backlash at all, it was simply opinion as to how the situation was coming across, maybe I worded it wrong but it’s coming across as tit for tat, as in how Nicki acted was very much she’s said done this so I’m gonna act like this. It isn’t Gas-Lightey at all but apparently a lot of people get triggered and jump down people’s throats. Which isn’t ok, yes this is a discussion but to refer to someone as an Idiot & telling them to F off & ‘Shut your mouth’ is so unbelievable childish and quite frankly nasty.

While I agree, this will only come across as a way for Jesy to save what little career / goodwill she had before this disaster of an episode.

The thing I don't understand are those stating that Liegh-anne is the bad guy for saying someone should do a video on the important issue of blackfishing instead of a dance video and dubbing it down to just being leighanne wanted a negative video made about Jesy??
