Jay, amazing as always.

But please, don’t forget accountability. She’s not a child. She’s a grown up (uneducated) who has the resources to surround herself with the right people and she’s making mistake after mistake. POC we’re tired to always have to “forgive” the poor white person who “was misunderstood “.

Also wholeheartedly agree with Jay's post and I worry for Jesy, once this flash in the pan hit is over I don't know what will be next for her, so I hope she finds ways to stay happy.

But Jesy also has multiple people of colour surrounding her telling her that she is doing nothing wrong. There are plenty of POC who see no issue in what she is doing.

I don’t want to start that type of conversation really as it’s not upto me to tell people particularly black people how to feel about it but I’m just pointing it out.

I just hope she's okay, i'm really worried about her, I thought she might have done some promo this week but she's kind of gone silent.

I know she said she doesn't post on her social media and her team have control of it and she only goes on it sometimes to talk to fans. I do hope she is avoiding social media because some of the comments on her pictures are really horrible.

I don't want another Caroline Flack situation like another user said :(

I hope she has good people around her, seeks help and hopefully has someone to educate her on why people are coming for her.

I think you worded it really well in your previous comment, she just doesn't get the gravity of the situation and she uses the tan etc because of her own issues with her appearance.

Few people like Nicki and Diddy don’t represent the whole race…and both of them are part of the project and less we talk about Nicki the better tbh!!!

This wouldn’t come down to this point if Jesy and her management issued proper genuine apology and she SHOULD have definitely stayed away from this atrocity of IG live with Nicki.

Why are people absolving Jesy of the blame this is all on her. She left Little Mix and had the chance to have any solo career she wanted and this is what she chose.

Choosing to record the song she did, make the video she did and have Nicki on the track are all down to her. She wanted control and this is the outcome.

Leaving Little Mix she could have written a book of self help for those struggling, make interesting or inspiring or evening meaningful music, do charity work. The world was her oyster and she chose this path this is all on her.

She can still do all of those things...

Story made the 6 o’clock news. Eek.

If its true that she has hasn't any fake tan in the video and has naturally tanned from recently being on holiday and her skin does easily tan, as she says at 1:40 in this video then what can she do about the tan issue to stop future accusations of blackfishing? Not go on holiday to sunny places again and sunbathe? Although you all say that it has more to do with it than the tan, also the hairstyle and the context of the video.

It was certainly unwise and not well thought out of her amidst the blackfishing accusations to say she was 'lucky' that as a white girl she tans so dark in the sun.

100% I see where the accusations of blackfishing have come from of course and Jesy does need to do more to address this issue I think.

No one naturally tans that dark from being on holiday, I've truly heard it all!!!

I agree with Jesy's mental health regarding all of this and think she has a lot of yes people surrounding her which is only going to damage her further. I think the best thing for her would be to be held accountable, apologise, and then take some time out of the spotlight maybe. Yes she does have a hit on her hands currently but at what cost? It's only down from here sadly - I think the Tulisa comparisons are accurate and if she does release further music it will go down the same sort of route in terms of success.

Nobody is absolving Jesy of blame, why do people not actually read the posts? Every single person who has shown an ounce of empathy for the situation have also vehemently stated that Jesy is in the wrong. Someone can be in the wrong but can also be vulnerable and so we can also worry about them and how their actions will affect their future.

I do agree with this. Look at Caroline Flack for example, was what she did to her ex wrong? Of course (if true, I can't remember, just using it as a comparison). Did she deserve to have so much hate and ultimately have it cost her, her life? Absolutely not.

I'm not saying Jesy will go that way in the end, but I really hope she has someone intervene who has her best interests at heart and take action that will help her. She needs to be held accountable, but I don't wish for anything bad to happen to her in the same breath.

Its self inflicted though, it's like someone cutting their arm off then feeling sorry for them that they only have one arm.

At some point people just maybe need to accept that mental health issues or not Jesy is 30 years old and you can't continue to just cut her slack because of it. There has to come a point where people say she is an unintelligent person (dumb is the word really) who has made awful decisions and the fall out from them are on her.

I know that isn't very empathetic but sometimes people get to the point of not really deserving the empathy if they are the architect of their own problems.

I'm not sure what adapting that type of outlook on the situation really achieves but I don't think Jesy is a person who does not deserve empathy. like so many have said she absolutely has to be held accountable, and whilst you can't cut her slack because of her mental health issues you can (and quite frankly should) be aware and mindful of them.

I suppose we're all unique in how we perceive situations but I just think it's worth remembering that literally nobody is excusing her actions.

I guess I'm not emotionally invested in her so I'm just looking at it without feeling. From my perspective it seemed like so many people the last few years seem to have done their best to accommodate and help her and the moment she had the chance to say 'Yeah Nicki let's not bully someone online, especially someone thats seen me go through it and tried to comfort me' she sat their silent.

Sometimes you gotta practice what you preach.

I echo the comments made by others I do feel Jesy brought this all on herself by not listening to concerns about blackflashing and then the live situation. But I worry for her mental health as Nicki does not care about her, the fact she didnt know she already did a track with little mix proves she does songs sometimes to get hits. Her team seem to be yes people and will not tell her what she did was wrong. However, I still want her to be accountable, she is not some teen who doesnt know better or a child she is a grown woman who should know how important some of these issues are to black people.

Jesy’s still commenting on Nicki’s posts

‘look at Youuuu ‘ from 2 hours ago.

Do we really buy that she’s never online and it’s mainly her team Because she seems to instantly like Nicki’s posts and comment!

Also, given everything that’s happened the way Nicki dragged Leigh on Twitter still actively commenting and supporting Nicki is a joke!

My blood is boiling because she just doesn’t give a sh*t!

I really hate all that is happening right now, its all turned so sour, i remain hopeful that one day the girls will all make up and do a geri halliwell/spice girls on it but right now its not looking good, i also think its terrible way for Jesy to start her solo career that long term will do her no favours, but like others have said i cant help but feel she has brought alot of it on herself.
