Loe numbers in thr US are surprising. Only 25% of her global numbers are from thr US!

But I wouldn't be surprised if the first day exceeds 2.5M tbh. Billie debuted with 1M in the UK with that song from the Bond movie (that no one cared) so I expect astronomical numbers for Adele's new song.

Interested to see how her numbers hold up now that we're past the first day hype. There surely must be a lot of people among that 2.8 million who were using Spotify for the first time (or at least using it to stream new music when they usually don't) lol

The numbers in the US are not “low” by any standards. It’s one of the highest daily streams for a song of all time and it also lost an hour, so you can add about 280,000 streams to its total to get a better gist of its performance. It performed incredibly in the US, as it did almost everywhere in the world. The only country I’d consider a disappointment is Spain.

It theoretically should have 'lost' at least 5 hours of streams in the US, more than that the further west you go (although honestly 289k seems quite low for that so I'm not sure).

 

I was a little surprised considering how easily it cruised past the UK and worldwide records that she fell short of the US record but the fact it was a UK midnight release may well explain that.

I mean are we really now complaining how she did in US :lol: with 5.4 million streams!!!

My prediction that she'd do extremely well but not quite beating the absolute biggest streaming figures of recent hits was true if we pretend I was talking about the US :teresa:

Tbh given the much bigger population I would have thought overall streaming figures would be higher in the US than they generally seem to be.

Radio is still massive over there.

but they are though...most of the times #1 does around 1.5-1.7 million streams.

 

I'm not talking Drake numbers but then Drake's numbers always go down the very next day plus Drake released the whole album VS Adele just a comeback single.

 

Maybe we can have better comparison when she releases the album and see how high Easy On Me will go then!!!
